TOP SECRET/HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL

The man who would become the Cobra Commander served as an Army Special Forces officer with tours in some of the world's nastiest hot spots. Because of his distinguished record and numerous service medals he was approached by General Golobulous to form a task force to combat growing terrorist threats, specifically the extremist group known as GI Joe. The US Special Mission Group Delta, Codename COBRA, would answer directly to the President. Its members would be hand picked and culled from the best of the best. His first recruits were men who previously served with him with distinction, Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes.

Cobra's first mission came while the team was still getting to know each other and their new headquarters, The NEST. They were to rescue hostages taken by GI Joe at the Springfield State Building. As fate would have it, the released video of the hostages revealed Snake Eyes' sister was one of those being held at gun point. Cobra's mission became a personal matter.

From the beginning the mission was FUBAR*. Bad Intel led to a serious under estimation of opposing forces and the strategy used by the enemy. Cobra had been led to believe this group's actions would be disjointed and uncoordinated and that because they lacked any religious zeal they would not follow through on any suicidal acts. GI Joe was in fact the very opposite. They had spread the hostages into different locations. They had also rigged the building, themselves, and the hostages with booby-traps. The price of finding that information out too late was the death of 3 Cobras and all of the hostages. After which, the Commander ordered his men to abort the mission.

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow ignored the order. When they finally found Snake Eyes' sister it was too late. She had been executed only moments before they got there. As the two made their way out, the charges started going off and they got caught in the blasts as they were leaving the building. Storm Shadow escaped with serious injuries that would heal in time. Snake Eyes disappeared entirely until rumors surfaced that he was now working for GI Joe.

After the FUBAR mission, Snake Eyes is filled with remorse of the death of his sister. He realizes that Cobra with all of it government red tape, he would never be able to take his vengeance against the murderous swine who executed his sister. With his heart filled with hatred he joined the ranks of GI Joe, till he is trusted enough among the ranks to know the identity of his sister's killer.

When Snake Eyes joined the GI Joe team he declared his hatred for Cobra Commander, stating that it was his fault for his sister's death. His first order from GI Joe is to eliminate Cobra Commander; Snake Eyes has sworn to find the killer of his sister and to let no one come between him and his vengeance, not even Cobra Commander. When Snake Eyes finds his target he is being protected by a mysterious ninja Storm Shadow. The two warrior's battle and Snake Eyes for an instant believes that he recognizes the warriors fighting style. In an instant Snake Eyes swipes the sword across the throat of his opponent, only then realizing that his ninja opponent is no other than his Sword brother, Storm Shadow.

Snake Eyes used to be one of the good Guys fighting the evil GI Joe team. 'Til his Twin Sister was slaughtered in a hostage situation. It is believed that Snake Eyes holds Cobra Commander responsible for her death. Snake Eyes was a dangerous man before he left the ranks of Cobra, but after he had his High Tec visor implanted with in his skull with it Nano Tec programming, he can now hear and see objects miles away. That is why Cobra has enlisted the aid of Snake Eyes sword Brother Storm Shadow.

If a Cobra get lost in battle he better hope Snake Eyes is not watching, cuz he'll be dead before his next breath.

When this GP came out I had a idea on how I wanted to make Snake Eyes. I wanted to keep some of his looks but decided a more "I am a bad ass and I know it" instead of his "Do what's right" stuff. So he has a little chip on his shoulder saying yeah I bad and you can try to knock me off my horse.

I also wanted his visor to be surgically attached to his skull, and I decided to dump the Ninja Symbol for 1 it would have been too hard to paint and 2 he would not want his action to fall upon the Ninja clan. So I left it out. But I did paint a snake on his right arm which was inspired by the VvsV version.
