When starting this custom, I had two goals: to recombine existing parts to appear as new sculpts (head, torso, arms) and to create a vehicle driver that kept with the spirt of figures released in 1988.

DeeJay's head was used as a base. Some time ago, I was experimenting with mold making and had a complete mold of a Televiper head. I used a Dremal tool to remove all of the head except for the communication "circuitry band". I then attached it to DeeJay's head with some Model Masters Instant Adhesive. I used Super Sculpy to extend the "band" to the front of the helmet and used Squadron Putty to feel any gaps.

The torso began as DeeJay's. I used the Dremal to put a hole the front of his chest and an Exacto knife to clean up the edges of the hole. Using the Exacto, I removed the Cobra emblem from the back of a Dr. Mindbender figure. I then used a combination of Super Sculpy, Putty, and Instant Adhesive to secure the emblem to DeeJay's torso and to smooth out the edges.

The arms are a combination of the HEAT Viper's bulky upper arms and Blocker's great lower arm gauntlets. Both sets of arms were cut just below the elbow joint and reattached with Instant Adhesive.

The entire figure was primered in Equipment Grey. Model Master Acryl Flat Black, Skin Tone Warm Tint, and Guards Red provided most of the colors. The silver comes from Polly Scale Model Railroad Colors Stainless Steel. Tester's Dull Cote finished off the figure.
