Any guesses? (mystery HISS Tank)

Perusing ACToys today, and I came across this mysterious item:

Anyone have any ideas? Something unofficial? An enterprising custom? Some kind of commemorative thing? Whatever it is, I think it looks really damn cool, and I'm not even a big Sky Patrol fan.

Yeah, I'd probably buy that. I wonder if it's connected to the chromed Storm Shadows from earlier.

Yeah, it's a stylized HISS tank? Didn't really do anything for me. Now the avatar with the jugs on the other hand...

I want a couple just as that one is, and maybe one or two in 'chromed' black, a couple in 'chromed' red, and maybe a 'chromed' blue.

I ran what they were saying through google translator. I think it is a custom because they talk about electroplating it. The original poster also mentions that he gave it to a friend.

I'm indifferent to it. It is cool because it is different. At the same time, I'd easily pass on it in the store. I have no real desire for it at all.

See, I'm a sucker for chrome, as long as it's on 'things'. Like those Storm Shadows that showed up? Didn't care at all for them. But when it's vehicles or weapons, I want it all. I loved Sky Patrol when it came out, or at least the vehicles (not so much the figures). I'd love to see more plating done on some of the vehicles we get.
