Shipwreck x2
Baroness
Neo Viper
Armored Panther w. Sgt Thunderblast

They also had:
Snake Eyes
Storm Shadow
Viper Commando

Na that's the Canadian version of KMart! :-D Well the one I went to in Windsor had the exact same floor layout as KMart.
It's stupid that we have to wait until July 4th.

What the?!?! A real AMERICAN hero is getting released in Canada and Australia before in the States??

I'm not very patriotic, but this burns me up!

I hope we invade your countries and steal your toys! :og13:

I opened up everything now. Here are a few first impressions:

Duke: A good generic modern desert soldier. The head is a bit big and the neck is very short. Also, the lower legs are too short. The Baroness is actually taller than Duke. Still, overall I like it and I'll probably pick up a couple more to act as modern desert Greenshirts.

Shipwreck: Headsculpt is great. I really like the body armor. The accessories are good: diving mask, airtanks, flippers and a combination harpoon-machine gun. The flippers attach to the backpack. The lower legs are too short on him as well and the overall proportions are almost ARAHish.

Baroness: Headsculpt is meh, but the body is great. I combined the new 5-pack Baroness head with the movie body and wow! Instant definitive Baroness! I'll try and post pics tonight.

Neo Viper: I wasn't going to buy any of the new ''Vipers'', but I have an idea for a custom. As a character in my collection, this figure has no place. As customs fodder, I want another one.

Zartan: Includes 2 heads (Zartan head and generic soldier head) and an updated version of his classic backpack to store his spare head! The body proportions are great. The Zartan headsculpt is *ugly* but with the generic soldier head on, the figure is great. I see so many custom possibilities. I've already bought 3, I'll try to pick up at least 3 more. Zartan is definitely my favorite of this wave!

Armored Panther w. Thunderblast: Thunder isn't bad. He looks out of place standing with the movie figs. He is definitely meant as an extension to the classic line. His head is the same as Greatest Battles Duke. He has no weapons or stand. The Armored Panther itself is actually quite cool. It's molded in tan and fits with Desert Duke quite nicely. The missile pods on the side give it a different silhouette. I bought it mostly to get Thunder, but I the Panther is growing on me. Still, at 19.99$ - the same price as Sertpentor + Air Chariot + Steeler + Armadillo - I'll be skipping the other Alpha vehicles.

I'll try to post pics tonight.

Technically anyone in Mexico, The U.S.A. and Canada is American as we all live in North America. I suppose Brazil, Columbia, etc... can also lay claim to the title "American" since they live in South America.

So don't let the fact that G.I. Joe, a real American hero has shown up in Canada burn you up. We live in North America too!

Found a thread on JBL that there is some RoC stuff up at TRU.com, and the Pit and Night Raven are up for pre-order in BBTS.

Here are a few more pics.

I really like Desert Duke. If GI Joe hadn't existed for 45 years and Hasbro was just launching it today, the same way they did in '82, this figure would be perfect. It really feels like an updated modern take on little green army men, just like the '82 roster. Maybe that thought made more sense in my head, but there it is anyway... :shifty:

Zartan really makes a great generic MP.

Baroness works well with the swapped head.

That Destro is six kinds of amazing. Desert Duke is a great figure too. I really hate those little pistols though. Good thing I have like a billion pistols at the house. Are the hands a pretty good size for older weapons? Also, how easy is the head swap? Are the neck balls pretty much the same sizes as 25th?

I can't wait to see these. I hate the price, but I will break and spend eight bucks on that Destro. It's actually worth that much to me.

Also, those Dukes look great standing together in that picture. I'll probably still pass on that figure, but it is better than I though.
