So I was looking at the various versions of Storm Shadow over on General Hawk's ROC toy Superpage and I noticed something about the image of the supposed unmasked variant of arctic Storm Shadow... namely that he was missing the neckpiece.

The original masked version wears that neckpiece in the packaging.
And a closer examination reveals that the skin color of the head does not match the skin color of the body, not unlike the headswap General Hawk himself did in his Paris Pursuit Stormy review:

Between the missing part and the non-matching skin tone (the head even looks painted, something Hasbro would not do on a figure that uses extensive fleshtone plastics, see military fatigues Heavy Duty vs Reactive Armor Heavy Duty), I am really tempted to call hoax on this one.

Your thoughts?

I've actually seen that on several sites. I'm going to say pacakge variation like the white coat Rex figure. They're just using the head from the other figure and not bothering to match the colors.

I hope its a hoax, that cheap to not match skin tones.
Hasbro is usually good about matching for the most part.

not sure but great thought. If your right props to you.

I did notice that the arashakagne tat is now up on his shoulder like the sigma six version (or come to think that, maybe i noticed that awhile back seems like i've said that before)

It's something i don't like.
