Shoot, I miss read that. I thought it had said it hadn't been in circulation for years (ie available for years).

You sure cause this looks like it in the King Kong set

It is date stamped 2012. Skull Island didn't come out until 2017. So it is older than that. I guess the more accurate timeline is that the design isn't decadeS old. Just a single decade old at this point. Almost retro, if you will.

I was pretty sure I had seen that same jeep around 2000 or so, same goes for the missile launcher. When Caldors was going under back in 2000 or 2001, I picked up a ton of "The Corps!" Stuff for pennies on the dollar just for the artillery pieces and other odds and ends (the figures and other items populated my Swap Shop for years afterwards) and I remember those items, or EXTREMELY similar ones from that haul.

how much would you bet it looks exactly like a Chap Mei version that you are mistaking it for?

While that is a possibility, I may be misremembering a previous "The Corps!" item. They do tend to recycle molds/designs over and over.

The jeep he's thinking of vs the corps total soldier v1 while similar are completely different molds.

a picture of the chap mei soldier force jeep vs. the Lanard here's a chap mei jeep in tan. *(First Attachment)

the only close to chap mei mold is the original Lanard Total Soldier V1 Jeep, which is similar, but again, a different mold than chap mei. The Above green CORPS! UNIVERSE Air Raid Jeep mold made its debut as an included vehicle pack in with the Lanard Flying fortress. ***Here's a picture of its first appearance. (SEE Second Attachment)

I've had a few asking about the prelude to The Corps! Universe and the CYBERSTRIKE Rise of A.I.

That set is still available through Walmart dot com, and serves as a jump on point as its the epilogue of Time Crisis, and For a little more about it and how it fits in before the Events of The Corps Universe, Here's a video.

I cringe & cry at the under-scaled vehicles.

If you meant the Coyote Charger, know that when that vehicle was in development it was designed back during the last year of the O-Ring Era, it is very much backward compatible with your Original o ring figures, I don't know what other vehicles you'd consider under-scaled, As the Stealth Copter is meant to be a one-man HTH assault copter, the Enclosed Dire Wolf tank is a scout class patrol vehicle, and the CYBERSTRIKE set consumer cost is under 25.00 for 4 vehicles, and 2 figures with accessories, now I know a lot of people here do customs, so look at this set as you will, for under 25.00 that's a lot of custom potential, or you can leave it as is and still have a great set for little money!

Yeah, I'd love to see some of the older vehicles like the tank (or an unaltered ambulance).
Some others I'd want to see again are...
Image
The WOW Girls Beetle

Image
The APC

Image
The 6 Wheel Tracker

Image
The other ambulance

Image
The Fire Truck would really only take a new weapon to replace the ladder to make an excellent mobile command vehicle.

Image
The Police Cruiser

Image
The Dune Buggy (especially without the recoil weapon it last had)

All of these would be great returns
