I was running errands and had to stop by Wal-Mart over the weekend. Because of what Dan mentioned, I made sure to swing by and check the shelves. On Saturday afternoon, these Alien sets were not out. Come Sunday morning, all of the sets with the exception of the Alien queen were in stock and on shelves. I bought 4 sets including the APC one. I passed on the Loader set. Initially, I was a little bummed about the overall size of the APC. However, it has two dedicated seats molded into the interior along with room for a potential third figure (in the back). One would just need to remove the pegs on the floor and insert a seat. I realized that this would make a perfect smalller mid-scale vehicle. More along the lines of an upsized Armadillo or VAMP-class vehicle.

Which Walmart did you find them at?

At my local Walmart in Boonton.

it would help me pick which one to go after online,

Sure. When I get home tonight, I will jot down some quick notes and snap a few pics.

As promised, I just finished snapping up some pics. Here are some quick notes.

I made a vehicle size comparison between the Cobra Rattler 4WD and Desert Fox. You can see that it is even thinner than the Rattler but actually allows for more internal space (length-wise).

I opened up the APC so you can see the inside. The APC floor has some rear floor pegs and protruding slats along the side walls that can be trimmed off to fit a seat for a third figure. Larger figures like Heavy Duty may stick out a little in the front and middle seats and won't sit flush but you can still easily close the top cover. Grunt-size figures fit fine.

Bottom of the Facehugger has some nice detail (which will show better when painted like a movie Facehugger)

I threw in a size comparison of the various Xenomorphs and Joes along with the Accessories like Sentry Gun and Egg.

Also, I took some pics of the card backs of the APC and Xenomorph Runner boxes. The Xenomorph Runner set shows a Weyland Commando reference. Obviously, a straight-up Corps repaint but still an interesting way of expanding the Colonial Marine\Xenomorph universe.

As for the Colonial Marines, alas no proper pulse rifles, but there is a decent flamethrower and you can still get them from other sources.

The green grunts have those top heavy bulk builds but the helmet sculpts are interesting because they made an attempt at replicating the helmet styles from the movie. One just has to be careful hollowing them out.

Note on pricing: The Xenomorph Swarm sets are $9.84 and the APC sets are $14.92

Articulation info below:
Gold Xenomorph Drone articulation:
Mid-Torso
Smooth Top Head swivels side-to-side
Has secondary jaw teeth but they don't come out
Ball joint hips
Knee joints
Ankles swivel
Shoulder joints
Wrists swivel
No elbow joint
Tail swivel
Lots of sculpt detail overall

Blue Xenomorph Warrior articulation (based off Gold Xenomorph Drone with additional sculpt details):
Mid-Torso
Ridged Top Head swivels side-to-side
Has secondary jaw teeth but they don't come out
Ball joint hips
Knee joints
Ankles swivel
Shoulder joints
Forearms have protruding skeleton
Wrists swivel
No elbow joint
Tail swivel
Lots of sculpt detail overall

Red Xenomorph Runner articulation:
No Mid-Torso ariculation
Smooth head swivels side-to-side and Up (slightly)\Down
Has secondary jaw teeth but they don't come out
T-crotch hip
No knee joints
No Ankle swivel
Shoulder joints
Wrists swivel side-to-side (really limited up\down)
Elbow joints
Tail ball joint swivels side-to-side and forward\back
Lots of sculpt detail overall

Sentry Gun:
Swivels side-to-side only

Excited for the blue and gold Xenos. Wish the APC was a bit wider

i was thinking about that apc. how is the price vs other bigger versions? if it would make $$$ sense then someone could buy 2 and graft them together.

might be able split one right in two and add more width in the center.

I want a couple of the APC. I don’t care about the alien aspect but those look like fun vehicles to add parts too, regardless of size.

Hey, are Puma & Snake Bite still being made?
I need to get one of each of them. Lost my whole collection a while back and they are the two I'm most worried about getting once I have some money again.

My local Ollie's has six pegs, eight deep of the Corps 2-packs, including the ones with the two females.

They are $1.99 each and Ollie's does have various discounts off at times.

$1.99 for a 2 pack.

$1 dollar and .99 cents.

For 2 figures.

One of which has modern articulation.

$1.99.

Christ I wish this line was available near me . I'd customize the **** out of them. I'd burn out my dremel.
