Agreed. I can't imagine an entertainment property more suitable for the action-figure treatment than Metal Gear. A main character who wears a variety of different uniforms and uses a crapload of different gear? Check. A stable of supporting characters and cool, visually interesting villains? Check. Media support? Check (well, occasionally). Somebody please give Hasbro a MGS master toy license.

Back on topic, how are the weapons, plastic-quality-wise? Are they similar to the plastic used for the Bravo Team stuff (which is to say, brittle and fragile)?

Give Hasbro the license, but demand that they get made Joe-style. Agree MG would rock if done right.

I hit a Target today and only found 3, i got Heavy, Grunt and Alcatraz, they are very nice and utterly cool, the only problem is what everyone else is saying about the Mech arms and the Human figure's hands sorta suck, other than that, well worth the price.

To answear the question Dr. Bindy asked about the weapons...

Hard plastic, not brittle hard.

Nicely detailed and realistic.

Saw them at several Targets today - grabbed a Nomad for a custom, but I'm gonna pass on the rest. I probably should have passed on Nomad, because the joints are SUPER loose - worse than an old-sculpt Joe with a broken O-ring. Dude won't even stand up at all. Gonna need some work to get him usable.

I do applaud Unimax for the attempt, though - but the execution still needs some work. Still, WAY better than those crappy Tron figures.

I picked up a Cell Trooper and I like it. Not sure if I'll get the aliens or the nano Troopers and I just read this at HT,

Hello from GAMESTARS and Unimax Toys

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you, Hisstank.com forum members, for all the positive comments and support of our debut 'Gamestars' CRYSIS 2 action figure assortment.

BTW, the figures are, in fact, $7.99 ea ---and are just now getting out onto the pegs.

We're presently working with several major video game publishers to bring their popular heroes and villains to the 1:18 collector and video game fan. We'll be distributing an official press release very soon.

More to come from this promising new 1:18 program throughout 2011...!

Happy New Year to everyone,

I picked up two humans and two aliens tonight. So far they seem like fun figures. The CELL assault unit I'd love to army build.

Anyone have any more photos? I'd like to see a comparison between Nomad and Alcatraz.

What's wrong with the hands? My CELLie and Nomad's hands are fine, as are all the Fearless Forces hands (been picking up a few of the singles to head transplant onto my Colonial Marines, woot)

A) WTF happened to him being 'our' guy?
B) Let the rampant speculation begin!

I never got past the first tank in the first MGS game, but I agree it'd be a great property to have in good 18th.

What else would be cool?
I'd absolutely murder every last one of youse guys to get a Soul Reaver line.
Resident Evil sounds like it'd be a *perfect* follow-up to this Crysis line, imho; even better for UniMax's bottom line than MGS.
Tomb Raider?

Dragon's Lair and Space Ace... :shifty:

I'd kill for a No One Lives Forever line.

THIS! I so want a Joe scaled Raziel. It's a line that would have to have two price points, because so many of the antagonists would need to be done closer to six inches or taller.

IMHO i would kill to for a LoK line in 1:18th. scale also, there could be 2 waves...

First wave could be Kain, Raziel, Dumah, Malchaia, Zephon and Rahab, in Vampire Lieutenant form, also Morbius, he plays an important role in the story line.

Second wave could be another younger version of Kain, then they could make Raziel, Malchaia, Zephon, Dumah and Rahab in their Sarafan Knight human form before they was turned into Vampires.

If they would make this line there could be alot of Vampires from the different tribes, it could almost be a big line, as far as figures go, seeing as how Vampires are now the in thing as far as pop culture goes.

Post subject:  Gamestars debut assortment...Crysis 2

Hi all,

Glad to hear mostly positive comments for the new line...!

Yes, we are working to bring more popular video game licenses to this great, collector friendly scale. To date: Unimax Toys has secured agreements with EA/Crytek (CRYSIS 2) and Ubisoft (ASSASSIN'S CREED BROTHERHOOD, Tom Clancy's GHOST RECON FUTURE SOLDIER).

We are close to finalizing agreements with two other major publishers... :)

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. There's more to come from GAMESTARS throughout 2011-2012 at major mass market retailers and specialty stores. A new brand for the new year...help us build it by telling us what you'd like to see.

Best to everyone,

Cool, If you keep going with the 3 3/4" - 4" scale with good articulation, you'll have a lot of buyers here. I still haven't seen them in store yet myself. The shelf tag is there, but no figures. I've got my eyes out for them.
