Is that the Gamora head on black widow? I hope it isn't.

The GamerVerse figures are starting to show up at Target now too.

As for the figures, Ryu is great. He has swivel calves? Whatever that exposed leg to the ankle area is called, on top of rocker ankles. So he can get into some poses and the gi is rubbery and can be removed. The wrists are what surprised me. They are just pegs, not hinged. So those open hands are permenantly bent like that. But the alternate fist hands are nice and they pop in and out easy enough, but not too easy.

I got the Collector pack for Collector (pretty much a SDCC re-release), but really, really like the Civil Warrior figure (an alternate universe Steve Rogers adopting the Iron Man tech). It is a solid figure (both weight and sculpt), but needs a stand if you want him to hold the shield with the blast effect.

Torso articulation on Civil Warrior? I feel like a doosh for getting extra SDCC Collectors from China for customs. Because now I think I'll have to get even more to have a squad of these armored Cappy guys.

Honestly - how many Ra's Al Ghul customs do I really need?

Yes, mid torso articulation. The articulation is great on this figure except for the shoulders. He can't raise his arms out to the side very high because of the shoulder armor sculpt, but all the other PoAs are there.

Found 'em at Target today - some thoughts from a custom-perspective.

Spidey/Negative
Mr Negative is an instant Black Mask custom. Don't really need to get more, since I don't care for the Spideys (that buck is too big for Petey), but it's good fodder, so I might pick up another 1 or 2 depending.

Collector/Civil Warrior
I've already snagged 3 Collectors off eBay (1 for a Ra's Al Ghul custom), so this one was unnecessary, but I like the paint apps better than the original, so I'll probably turn the old one into a Grandmaster.

Civil Warrior is the big disappointment. Despite having an articulated torso on a brand new sculpt, he's got stubby lower arms and a pea head. Will give him some new lowers and customize him into something, but am not going to army-build like I thought I would.

BW/Ryu
Ryu is my surprise favorite of the bunch. Where once I thought I'd just offload them, I think he's got tremendous custom fodder potential. Only complaint is the torn trouser legs - because those would've been the first set of "normal" pants in the MU line. So I'll likely sculpt some cuffs on a few and use them in customs. The bare feet are a little oversized, which is awesome - I have actual WIPs that need them desperately. Definitely going to pick up a few more to chop up for fodder - and I can find a bunch of uses for BW's non-Gamora Gamora head

I actually like that buck for Spidey, and other thin characters. I just hate it for most of the people they’ve used it for, like Cap and Punisher. They should be on something the size of the Deathlock buck.

Also - for those planning on making a "Mister Knight" or whatever - just remember that the Xavier/Destro/Negative body is a bit smaller than the standard Marvel buck.

FYI - my Targets in the area are getting these now (about 2-3 each on the pegs) and the Target app has a $10 off $50/$25 off $100 coupon for toy purchases. So I snagged another BW/Ryu & Spidey/Neg along with a JW Sinoceratops for under $50 total.

Well that new Moon Knight wasn't a standard body either. He was too tall for me.

-Which is why mine's a custom using only the chest armor ;-)

In case anyone is interested (and if this is the correct thread), this Avengers: Infinity War Hulkbuster works as a decent 1/18 scale Hulkbuster, IMHO, with 9 POA (not the knees).

Here it is with the knockoff first Hulkbuster:

Here with the Invincible Ironman (which is a tad taller than other Ironman figures) :

With a little work and some paint the IW version isn't so bad...
