I have neither the room nor the desire to own that Skystriker, but I sure wouldn't say no to that gorgeous Ace figure!

The Viper looks quite improved with red gauntlets. Wish I could get a closer look at the extra guns.

What was cool with the Canadian con vs the MC con was we were able to play with the toys this time. No glass keeping us away!

Play with, position, adjust, pose, hell they keptntrying to get people to put more stickers on the Sky Striker (it has a very large sticker sheet), but someone did such a good job no one wanted to add to it.

I posted some tidbits on facebook from the Ron Rudat q&a but for those of you who don't follow JC on FB, here you go. Scarlett was a marketing decision by VP of marketing Bob Pupriss (sp?). He figured they could sneak a female into a line of 12 guys and see what happens. She flew off the shelves.

He said he designed Mercer as a dreadnok, President Regan, and Admiral Hassenfeld for the USS Flagg but they never got made. Scramble even followed up with how the president of Hasbro didn't get approved as an action figure.

Ron was a really good guy. He shared everything he knew with anyone who asked and he had people asking him stuff all day. Several of us had the pleasure of spendimg time with him and his wife and son Triston. Triston is the one who filmed the documentary about his dad and the GI Joe line, Codename: Blast Off. Go buy it. $25 shipped.

Ron also had the original Cobra symbol he designed on display along with some alternate figure designs. The man is a legend.

Hasbro Canada has the Ashiko Cycle and Hiss Sentry (not the small drone) sitting in their warehouse with no distributor.

I know people say it a lot but it couldn't be more true for me, seeing Hasbro's stuff and listening to tje great stories by the guests is good and all, but I go for a chance to hang out with friends. This trip did not dissappoint.

The guy showing his unreleased boxed toys. Is Jon S showing off prize winning. He wins something every year.
