Did you guys ever consider making a non-'celestial' Perseus figure? Maybe even with a Harry Hamlin looking head.

Or even Spartacus and some other gladiators?

We did discuss Perseus a number of times. We really feel that to do that character justice he would need some additional tooling that we aren't doing just yet. We'd want him togas and lace up sandals and to have unique weapons. So he got put in our "long term parking lot" until we revisit the greek theme (which we hope to do). As for his likeness...I doubt we'd be able to use a specific actor and we's probably look at classical art and create something new for him.
Sparticus is another possibility for sure down the line. We'd also like to hit up some of the Gods and Demi-Gods like Zeus, Athena, Hercules, Artemis, etc. But we'd like to tool up some larger (but still human like proportions) bodies for some of them.

Has there been any though put into selling individual body parts down the road? Like if I wanted to buy 5 pairs of the blank female legs, and three pairs of blank male arms, would that be a possibility? Or is that just not a viable option?

Great question.

Also - love this answer too. Having variations in body types/sizes will really open up the story telling that can be done with this line.

Question 1 - I know that a certain part of the early success will come from maximizing the use of each new tooling - but are there any other mythical monsters you've looked at which could be made around a core blank which itself might fit different themes? Something that could fit into wave 1's theme, but not be wasted on that set alone? Adding sci-fi accessories to pretty much any mythical monster might make them fit into a retro sci-fi verse, for example.

My bigger question is - how do these figures stack up size-wise, within the various 4" scales out there? By that, I mean I usually treat modern Joes as a normal human scale, where the average height is at or just under 4" literally (6 feet tall). I consider the standard Marvel Universe figure to be say a "hero" scale, where most all of the male figures exceed 4" (though still within that scale).

So - I guess will the male buck you are using fall literally at 4" tall? I haven't seen any pics yet comparing them to either Joes or MU to get a handle on how I might best make use of these guys.

Great idea. With a larger buck, for characters like Hercules and such, a pair of legs could be created to make Minotaur, Demons, and other part man part beast characters, much like the Gorgon lower for the current female buck.

And a Minotaur with futuristic armor and blasters sounds like all kinds of :awesome:

It is at $132K and change. At $135K the first 4 blanks are unlocked. Help me get those blanks.
All black male body (Spawn, Nightwing, Batman), transparent orange (Green Latern, Fire hero), purple female (Pythona, Huntress), beige female (uh...a lot)

Except at $135k the other male figure is shadow grey, not black.

The obsidian black figure isn't until $210k, along with the bio blue transparent figure that I really want to make a Dr. Manhattan out of.

After seeing Catrina's fantasy e-sketch, of the trio (woodland Elf girl, Half Orc mage, blinded warrior(?)), and having seen a woodland Elf gal on the postcard art with the natural wood growth bow, any chance that she will be given life when Wave 2 is a reality?

Hope so. : )

Just upped my pledge.
I have a few different ideas for the blank grey male and blank beige female figures.

Question about the Underworld Warrior figure.
Is it going to be molded in a translucent plastic with the black painted over it?
Or is it going to be molded in black with the 'lava' effect painted on?
Thanks!

BFS put up another sculpt sheet for their next fantasy theme after the Kickstarter. Read the accessories. Let's play a Game of Dragons.

Dragon Harvesting humans.

My McFarlane Dragons are quivering with just the thought of them standing near them(looking at you, my Hyrda Dragon boxed set...)

I should just stop making my own fantasy customs right now. They keep this up, even I will run out of ideas.
