I'm setting up my collection on the shelves and listening to Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now" on endless repeat (that part might not be true) to commiserate the "deth of teh line" and I'm trying to decide where the Red Night Vipers from the 50th figure sets fits in. It doesn't make a lot of sense as a Night Viper being bright red, but I do like the color scheme despite not fitting with the name.

What do you guys think, are they Night Viper Officers or maybe Crimson Night Vipers?

I've got my green NVs lined up with the Night Watch and black Dollar Store Cobras. Or, like the Jungle Vipers, should Night Vipers in green be a specific jungle/forest version of a classic Cobra Blue or all black NV we've just never seen in figure form?

Quick EDIT - I like the name Crimson Knights as a compromise. They might go in with my CG figures.

I think I would headswap them into a new character.

Either Red Shadows commandos, or some type of Crimson Guard commandos.

Crimson Knights would work as a suitable codename.

Just change the filecard bio to say something about, "...beware, that H&R Block rep sitting in the little cubicle inside the big box store just might have a Crimson uniform hiding nearbye..."

Sunset-Vipers?

I can't decide if I like the standard Cobra Blue as a Viper standard idea or not. I think it works better on the NV than most of the other figures I mocked up, though we did get an Alley Viper pretty close to that in the "new sculpt" era.

I thought of the red Night Viper as a sniper ace, like Cobra's champion marksman who flamboyantly dressed in red until Lowlight picked him off.

Cross trained Crimson Guardsmen. We have so many Crimson this, Crimson that, it kind of fits.

I guess alternatively they are just in their Ceremonial uniforms for whenever the Commander dons his Crimson outfit.
