And how would Hawk and the Jugglers fit in..?
GI Joe as a Special Forces unit with General Hawk would fall under Secretary Rock, but more directly Special Operations Command (SOCOM). That wouldn't change even if you go with later continuity where Hawk is one of the Jugglers which I always assumed was just the Joint Chiefs. He'd still fall under the Sec Def and POTUS.

Fury and Dugan, even as Directors of SHIELD, wouldn't be able to command Hawk, but with his authorization or someone above him, they could take command of the Joes for mission specific purposes. They'd have no need for direct contact with the Jugglers, being able to have direct lines of communication with the people above them and the acutal soldiers on the gorund if needed.

thanks, their shipping calculator is in Japanese, but I wasn't buying right now anyway. bookmarked for future use :)

ETA looks like ebay has some from about $25 or a bit more. if my math is right the links minimum shipping is about $20 so $31.

How did you find it on Ebay? I can't seem to locate it no matter what links I use.

Yeah, the worst part about that line is simply finding the damn things to order them. I wish BBTS carried such things.

I received my box yesterday and started assembling some figures. I'll keep some of the US soldiers and Marines as is, but some of the Germans and Russians were bought for Red Shadows and Oktober guard characters.

I just threw these together quickly. These won't be the final versions.

I'm assembling a Black Major and Red Shadows as well - very similar to your creations. The parts I need to complete them are supposed to arrive today from MGR.

Yeah, they will. It's the entire point of the endeavour, man. I really don't understand these questions but everyone seems to think MJohn doesn't want our money the same way he's been getting it all these years.

That was more a 'hopefully sooner than later' statement as opposed to a 'they'll be in the store eventually' one...

Here are my preliminary Red Shadows. I have two more troopers to make. I didn't realize they had red gloves, I may swap them out. And I may replace the pouch on Black Major with a more accurate holster. But I like how the pouch looks for now.

Nice!
Although OB's Red Shadow head seems somewhat on the small side.
sbarrett4 you should use the red officer's cap that came with the red German MTF figure or did the British have any officer caps?
plus if you want to go for more original Black Major's look he doesn't have the tall boots http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/toys/00 ... index.html
