I’ve yet to buy any of the Hiya stuff, but have started looking at the Predators. Are they worth it? Is there any one predator figure that is better than other ones?

Nothing from Hiya is perfect, and every figure I've gotten has evidence of a poor 'action figure philosophy' on Hiya's part, imho. They're of the McFarlane school that looks are more important than playability, and the materials they choose often 'fight against' each other as I'm posing one. They also make simply the wrong choice in places, such as the shiattyshiattyshiatty ankles on the Predators. Instead of rocker ankles they did what happened to so many Joe and MU figures of giving them swivel/hinge ankles with too-long a peg going up into the calf such that any attempts to hinge the ankle just causes the peg to wobble around instead. They fixed this issue with a couple of more recent Preds by eliminating the ankle joint entirely in favor of a mid-calf 'boot' swivel.

I flat-out love the playability of the 3 diff RoboCops I have - except for the too-literal interpretation of the RC3 jetpack that has *ZERO* actually connection to Murphy. It literally just lays on his back and you have to hope you pose the forearms and gauntlets properly together or else they'll hang off in weird directions.

Hiya keeps making statues they try to retro-fit into action figures instead of designing action figures that look good; and it shows. With their complete and utter lack of updates about movie-license Colonial Marines and Dutch's team from Predator in the 2.5 years since announcing they acquired the movie licences; I'm losing patience with Hiya.

/Still glad I got the $40 PowerLoader and still keeping the flame-on APC pre-ordered.

BBTS has the Robocop 2 Cain up for pre-order now.

Now they just need to get off their asses and get a PredAlien made.

They need to get off their asses and get those Colonial Marines and Dutch's team made. They said they had the full movie licenses for both like 3 years ago, at least; and now they're showing off protos for Judge Death from an entirely new license.

Having the full movie licenses doesn't necessarily mean that they have the full rights to the actors' likenesses.

Just look at Star Wars figures and the Tonnika Twins. Or the Neca Aliens figures and Drake.
The twins haven't ever been made because Hasbro hasn't been able to get the likeness rights for both twins and Neca had to settle for the old Kenner version of Drake because they couldn't get the rights to Mark Rolston's likeness.

Also my guess on why we haven't seen an unmasked Robocop, so far.

Yeah, that was the SDCC exclusive of Robo when the kids punked and spraypainted him. Same one I have in the pic just above yours, mate.

Meh.
I'm about as excited for the Judge Dredd line as I am for their teased Rambo line.
Which is to say, not at all.

I'm actually glad they are doing more stuff I have no interest in. With their Alien, Predator, and Robocop lines, I've got enough of their stuff to buy as it is.

Speaking of, I got in the new upgraded AvP Scar Predator and a standard Warrior Xeno and they're *massive* improvements over the first versions in sturdiness. I'm gonna make a few mods to the Pred to open up his range of motion at a few places, notably the underarms so he can bring the arms down more instead of being in a permanent BEEFCAKE pose. I still hate the wrist joints they use and I'm out of options how to replace them for these guys unlike the RoboCop stuff I can swap in MTF hands. The Pred should have gotten rocker ankles like the Xeno, too; but at lease now they're properly functional instead of 'peg-wobblers' as before.
