BBTS as the Aliens Power Loader for $39.99 right now. Its a preorder expected to arrive in June. For the $99.99 it was retailing for I couldn't justify it but for $40? You betcha!

Yeah, that's an appropriate price. Hopefully MTF BugHunter dudes can fit well in it.

Got the dude with the weird gun today (the one in the middle) -- basically on-par with the other Hiya stuff - a little too small for me, brittle, not as detailed I'd hoped.

Here he is with some MTF figs, Grunt, and a Hiya Predator for scale:

Is that :robocopgun: ?

I have one of these on preorder as well as the reboot version and few of the 208s from that film.

Yeah, I've got one of the ED-209s pre-ordered along with a few of the new Predators/Aliens. I think the Preds/Aliens are the only Hiya figs I'm going to go with moving forward, since the issues aren't as noticeable/problematic as the humans. And I'm still waiting on my Pred Hounds - I've had those damned things ordered for over a year now.

Oh I forgot about ED-209. Got one of those ordered too.

I’m not bothered by the inaccuracy issues and such with the robotic figures. They’re cyborgs for me so if they don’t scale perfectly its okay.

I might have to pick up one of the Predators. I got a little gunshy about them in this scale after the Microman versions.

Now the DC stuff on the other hand, I’m glad there is enough variety in characters so they can have their own little display all to themselves. But its a bummer they don’t mix well with other lines.

I was hoping Wonder Woman would be my default.

Hiya doesn't choose plastics well, imho. Their figures often feel like they're fighting themselves to pose, body parts knocking against other parts as you work what feels like too-gummy a plastic around. They just don't *play* well, imho.

This is less of an issue with the GraphittiCop I got, who features a couple of points of noticeable improvement in play. I think they're using harder plastics for the body pieces than their usual, and I'm diggin' it.

I still friggin' HATE the pegball wrists they use. It sucks entirely altho Robo seems to be in the sweet spot of it all working well.

Ive been my best to resist hiya stuff, but every time they pop up I loose more resolve, Robocop, Ed209, Predators and of course, Swamp thing.

Got the Predator "Hounds" that I pre-ordered 17 months ago.

First thought was that I had no idea there were 2 per package (I ordered 2 thinking I'd get 2.) Second thought was "man, these things are tiny."

Image

WAY smaller than they should be in this scale. They're like Predator Pugs. And 5 POA, turns out. For all the junk Hiya has been putting out, I took comfort in the fact that at least the Preds/Aliens were still good (even though they were always brittle.) This, coupled with the disappointing larger Preds from the Predators flick (pictured) were the final nail in the coffin for me.

Don't think I've ever been this disappointed in a figure. Definitely not worth waiting 17 days, let alone 17 months. Absolute garbage - never again.

I got 'a' hound waiting in my PoL and I'm actually very relieved to learn there's two in the package. I have issues with Hiya's approach to figures but 'too small' has never been a breaking point for me with a toy company. As usual, he dropped in the PoL alongside the new Elder Pred the day after I shipped all my other stuff.

I did get the PowerLoader in that shipment and my MTF Vasquez fits decently in there. It's quite nice, imho; if a bit fiddly in places (the hand 'tongs' don't want to slide smoothly, imho) and worth the $40. It was never worth the original $80, tho.

Yeah, the Power Loader was nice - a little brittle (obviously), but fun.
