I grabbed some of the Assasin's Creed figures too for fodder. I also bought one of the TRU shopping carts. I keep gettin asked what I'm going to do with it. I keep coming up with new answers.
"You know how some stores make you bring your own shopping bags? Well..."

My last purchase seems to be a Vex Robotics Space Command set.

I hope to be in our new house by June 28. Going to head to the nearest TRU (if it's still open) and try to buy one of the display sections. I really would like to have one to do a toy store display in my hobby area.

The one in Burbank had a countdown of how many days til they close on a big sign outside their front door. Yesterday it was at 11. So I wouldn't look for any stores to be open after this month.

The store looked way different than the last time I was in there about a month ago. Sections of the store with bare shelves taped off. Product stocked wherever there was space on the shelves closest to the front. It honestly felt like a bad discount store. There was a really sad vibe to the whole place.

I swept all the open aisles because there was product stocked wheverer. Managed to find a couple of the big Mega Construx COD sets (Apache and desert tank) for 50% off. That, sadly, will most likely be my last purchase from Toys 'R' Us.

Final days are here. I think they'll all be closed on the 30th. Is anyone seeing anything left that's worthwhile? It seems like some of the things they had a lot of just disappeared, I was waiting to get one of the new batcave but they all disappeared.

The local TRU close by had a fire in their electrical room Monday and went ahead and closed for good after that so no last minute deals for me this week.

Before anybody starts getting too excited over the prospect of TRU returning, please read this:

I recently tweeted about the potential industry backlash and whether the manufacturers that were burned would do business with the investment group again in the wake of the revival news.

Welp.....

Check your Target stores. Some already have TRU's "True Heroes" items under "Hero Force", including the submarine and cargo plane.

GITrekker, thanks for the link.
