If you liked the documentary Welcome to Marwencol about the artist who used his custom 12" figures (and yard size diorama) to tell stories that helped him cope with real life tragedies, then you need to know about the studio movie that is coming out. Here is the first trailer (thanks to the Full Force podcast for the heads up).

Info about the original documentary.

The original documentary is pretty awesome.
This looks good too.

I hate that they call them dolls. But aside from that this looks good. I love when Carell does dramatic stuff. Yeah this has some comedy in it but it looks like a serious role for him and I love that. He's at his best when he's not supposed to be funny.

Man. I boxed up all the 12" customizing stuff I'd amassed and never done anything with and sent it all to Mark after watching the documentary.

I've got real mixed feelings about this, but I really hope it's a good thing for him.
