So, retro doesn’t mean anything any more does it?

They look good, but yeah, 5 poa. Well, 7, looks like the hands can swivel at the top of the gloves.

I like what they did for the Amazing Spiderman comic line. The figures had ball jointed shoulders, elbows and knees and simple swivel hips which is better than that garbage that they used for the Iron Man movie figures and they are still using for the new Star Wars figures.

Seems like they are trying to put product out there to compete with the DC 4" figures, but they're trying to cut cost because Hasbro doesn't have faith in any of their lines anymore, so unless they take the Spinmaster's route and go all out with many characters, vehicles and a playset, this line won't get pass a second wave.

Feels like the days of Super Powers and Secret Wars, the DC figures by Kenner had better articulations with bendable knees while Mattel's Marvel figures only had 5 points.

EDIT: https://www.figures.com/2020/09/23/new- ... announced/
They slapped the Kenner logo on the card!
Why sell them by two if each figures has it's own card?

Selling in packs of two cuts down on peg warming. In other words they don't even believe in this line.

According to Pixel Dan, they'll be sold individually at retail. The two-packs are Pulse exclusives.

Is he the same Pixel Dan that was the Mattel Pixel Dan or just another Dan going by Pixel Dan?

Easy pass for me.
Because; a) 7 POA. Come'on! It's 2020! b) They'll be over priced. c) They'll (probably) be eBay exclusives. d) Hasbro is following a trend instead of leading. Copying Reaction and Super 7, not cool.
Where are they ranked now, behind Playmobil, right?

It's sad and a little funny when companies make junk in the style of 10-20 years ago, put a big price on it, call it "retro" and expect us to buy it.
The unfortunate thing is some hipster-pukes out there will buy it, just because.....

The main appeal here is the Secret Wars nostalgia.
Look at that Iron Man, same colors, but in the correct size. Man, I would have loved that the Secret Wars figures would be the same size as my Joes.

I'm okay with less articulation than most collectors, but 1:24 scale MASK figures had articulated knees.

Is that asking for too much? Otherwise I'd like them.

Also, why is it that 'retro' only means 'worthless crap from a dead dog's ass' when it comes to 18th scale?

Original format-setting 6th-scale toyline: super-poseable Barbie/GI Joe.
Original format-setting 18th-scale toyline: super-poseable MicroMan.
Original format-setting 12th-scale toyline: McFarlane's brick-tastic Image stuff from the 90s.

Guess which scale has seen a reduction in playability (and cost-to-manufacture) propped up as a selling point?

Still a better attempt at Retro than GI Joe

1. Nearly all those characters are instantly recognizable by just about any child in the world today. Electro is paired with Spiderman whose popularity more than makes up for any "who?" factor.
2. Actually 20$ since they are two packs... but considering single figures for almost any toyline are about 10$ now....its pretty on par.
3. They'll be in stores, dude.

Human Torch, Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers) and Magneto in this style are available from ChinaBay so there must be more coming--maybe they'll be the single packs?
