I had been assuming I wouldn't be able to jump on this due to thinking it'd be too pricey for my tastes but $60 feels entirely reasonable to me so I'm in for the black one. It'll get some custom red trim to be a StingerII.

All things considered, it today’s market, $60 isn’t bad for that. Unfortunately. They do look cool.

I was worried about the price too but felt $60 was fair so I backed it in black as well.

The KS says it comes with an extra rear cover but the pics also show the rollbar so I asked for clarification, to which I got:
Quote:
Kickstarter backers get 4 free accessory pieces, which are two additional turret pieces for the top, the rear bay cover and the roll bar.

So, if it helps you can consider at least part of the shipping cost to be for the extra pieces that won't be included in the retail versions.

I'm real excited to put the 'laser' turret on my black StingerII.

I really like it, but for ARAH, I feel they are too big for ARAH scale.

Well, that didn't happen. I still dig the design, tho.

Definitely bummed this project didn't work out. I don't think these guys did enough stumping to get the word out about their Kickstarter. Certainly would've given the Joytoy Crazy Reload a run for its money...

I also really hope they rethink the idea of upping the size to 1/12 just to "fit in" with the "current market craze!" Granted, that move MIGHT get their foot in the door ahead of other folks for that particular scale, but a bunch of peeps pointed out such a product would take up too much space in a collection. Isn't that why GI Joe ARAH was brought about, to take up less space and be more transportable?

Whatever the case, will keep an eye out for future news on this troop transporter.
