Not sure if anyone else has seen this yet. Wayward Goat put their 1/18 scal MARV up for sale this weekend. Four different colors (green, blue, black, tan) and they are all outfitted equally. The price I got yesterday was $65 plus shipping but jumped to $80 today. I only got a single black one and if I’d known the price was going up would have gotten a blue one too. Still not bad compared to a comparable vehicle from JoyToy or Acid Rain. Simpler paint applications here but costs less too.

These are in stock too. Not a preorder or Kickstarter. Ready to go out the door. Placed my order yesterday and it was dropped off to UPS today.

Mine should be here by the weekend via UPS. I’ll try to get some pics when it arrives.

The price may have gone up, but it looks like the shipping is free.
So that does take a little bit of sting out of the price.

How much was your shipping MS?

Apparently their shipping calculator was all wonky. It was $65 plus shipping but things were all off. So they made it a straight $80 as a work around. It comes packed in a hightop shoebox sized box. Considering shipping prices these days I don't think they're making money off of unused shipping fees.

Shipping was about $13 and change for UPS from North Carolina to Los Angeles. Sounds about right for the package size.

If they include shipping that’s a good deal at $80. I’ll be getting that blue one now.

A few pics of the box, packing and contents. Like pluv said it comes in a shoebox style box. It was shipped without an outer shipping box but everything inside was fine. The box did its job. Not collector friendly, instead doing its job of delivering the contents safely to the destination.

The MARV comes "Some Assembly Required" which is okay with me. I miss the old says of putting together my Joe vehicles and applying the stickers. There are no stickers here but we do get a nice illustrated instruction sheet. The parts you need to put together are mostly the smaller stuff, mirrors, lights, etc but also the gun station and wheels. Also the windows come on an injection mold sprue.

A couple detail shots including the bottom. It isn't super detailed but there is enough here to give it some life. Lots of small ports for pegging in accessories and smooth areas where you can add decals or greeblies to detail it to your desire. Screw holes are on the bottom, hidden away so they don't get in the way of the sculpt. Someone on Facebook disassembled one of these and it looks easy enough. I haven't done it myself but you will need to if you want to use the right hand drive dashboard that is included.

The axles are metal and screw into the wheels which have embedded nuts inside them. This is both a good and bad thing. Its good that the axle is nice and sturdy and the nuts in the wheels keep the connection from getting stripped out if it was plastic. But the bad is that the nuts aren't aligned perfectly so you get a little wobble in the wheels like when the tires on your car are out of alignment. Its not terrible but you do notice it if you roll the vehicle around. Also the wheel wells are really tight. The rear tires can rub against the mudflap. If the axle was lowered 1/8th of an inch on both the front and back it wouldn't be as much of an issue. But again you only really notice when rolling it around.

Scale is pretty good. I used a headless MTF figure for these photos. It scales well with the truer 1/18 figures like MTF but would also work nicely with vintage 3 3/4" as well.

The MARV is molded all in color and its consistent throughout. The smaller parts like the mirrors and machine gun are a softer plastic and can warp like my machine gun was out of the box. The plastic is sturdy and holds the details well. There is enough detail that it works as is but also provides a nice canvas if you decide to customize it. I'm happy with the black version I have and plan to weather it a bit and add some details to it. I'll likely get one of the blue ones for my Cobra forces as well.

Overall the $80 shipped price is a decent value. Given its a small batch run made by a small company I'm pleased with the end product. The few issues I have with it (wheel wobble, warped small pieces) aren't anything you don't see in mass produced toys so I'm willing to forgive them here. If you're looking for a nice armored vehicle this is a great alternative to others in the scale like JoyToy and Acid Rain. You don't get the intricate detail and paint of those others but the price point reflects that. I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Marauder Inc debuted a sticker sheet for the MARV in collaboration with Wayward Goat. I received it yesterday and its awesome. Planning to use some of the stickers on other vehicles, etc.
