I thought of that too. Get those little devices they used to steal DNA.... some corpses or mummys with crypts... maybe the Proto-pentor thing that Slaughter fought and the money will flow from my wallet.

I wonder if they can actually get away with making a Sgt Slaughter figure? He was at the G.I.Joe convention, so there may be some loop hole in the law that allows Sgt. Slaughter the G.I.Joe character to be a full different character than Sgt Slaughter the wrestler. Maybe they can market him as Drill Sergeant Slaughter.

Why not just call him "Sarge" or "The Sarge." Lame, but could work.

"LASER BLAST". I knew it. I'll mod it, and it'll be okay, but I shouldn't have to. They go the extra step to give him a rocket pistol with removable rockets but won't even give his completely newly sculpted arm an elbow joint. WTF.

Isn't it supposed to be homage to the original figure? Didn't Bludd have a "special" arm as protective gear for that handheld rocket launcher he carried? In '83 Hasbro was ADDING articulation to the figures' arms, no reason to cheap out in only one of their figures. I'm pretty sure they intended to have 25th Bludd have no elbow movement as a nod to the original. And this has NOTHING to do with them cheaping out on an entirely new sculpt or at least the more compatible Flash torso and Red Star's boots.

Speaking of Russians with big boots, have you checked out the new Indy stuff? The vehicles have already been mentioned elsewhere, but the troops...oi..and I HAD to get them as an Indy fan...now I NEED them as a Joe fan/customiser too.

SPOILER ALERT:

I'm definitely hoping the Serpentor related packs come with the DNA reclamation boxes. After seeing some of the cartoon props as figure accessories, I want more!

As for Sgt. Slaughter, why couldn't he just agree to a licensing deal? I'm sure he'd be agreeable, since he was happy to do the NO Con. Is there some agreement wityh a Wrestling group that prevents it? Certain board members will have to forgive my wrestling ignorance.

I guess it's possible, just look at how many Joes now have a rank in front of their names to get around copy right issues to get us the likeness of those Joes.

Wow. One of my very earliest customs, was slapping the tail end of the missile from a missile-launcher PAC RAT on the broken tip of Airborne's rifle, then fitting the tail round bit from the Dragonfly onto that. Voila, instant big grenade Snake-Eyes used to melt down a BET.

Regarding Slaughter: Isn't it more than just a naming thing? I mean it's also his likeness that Jakks/WWE hold the toy rights to correct? If that is true, then that would be akin to Jakks making a guy that looked exactly like Cobra Commander and then just naming him Serpent Commander or something. It just doesn't seem like it would fly to me, but hey what do I know? :shifty:
