So I called down to the nearest TRU to see when the last day was. Found out tomorrow was it.
Got ready and headed out for the 45-50 minute drive.
Everything that was left was just in the U-shaped section right inside the door. It was pretty much demolished as items were ringing up to 90% off.
What I got:
4x of the Skylanders Dive Bomber. They look like they could be modded to be tiny mapping submersibles that can be lowered and towed behind a ship.
https://www.collectors.com/action-item/ ... 42797451842x of the Nintendo World Ganondorf figures. They look like they could be painted up to be a pair of Star Wars casino type bodyguards or VIPs.
http://a.co/gFK5skk2x of the Marvel Enchantress/Executioner 2-packs for fodder.
http://a.co/gwSSUNl2x Playmation MODOK and 2x Black Widow figures. Might see if I have some different arms and legs to make a MODOK not look so gangly and frail. Gonna pop off the Black Widow heads to see how they work on 25th style female bodies.
3x Mr. Incredible figures for fodder. Might try to make some new costume designs ala Edna Mode. No capes though...
1x each of the worlds smallest Barbie and GIJOE.
1x Nintendo Starfox 'Peppy' figure. The jacket makes me think of a Doctor's coat.
2x Rusty Rivets/Crush 2-packs. The little droid looks like it could work next to a moisture evaporator on Tatooine with a little modding.
1x Justice League Action Wonder Woman figure. Not sure what to so with it, but it does have some long legs.
http://a.co/0DNwith5x Ben 10 Heatblast figures and 2x Ben 10 Deluxe Heatblast figures. These I didn't pick up last time and hoped I'd be able to get a few. I have been looking for base figures to make new Cobra Mega Monsters for the Mega Marines to battle. I thought I could brain storm to come up with a new Monster that is fire based, like Dr. Mindbender discovered the spontaneous combustion genome (whatever the heck it's called) and turned helpless Incinerators into fire creatures. The two bigger figures could be 'Brutes' and the smaller ones could be the standard.
6x Mayka toy block tape. I stood there by the shelf looking at these, trying to figure out a use for them. I don't collect LEGO or any of the similar style that use that type of locking system, but I was drawn to these. After standing a package on its side, I realized this might be an inexpensive way to make new tank tracks, or at the very least make some sort of tread type for putting around bigger tires for traction.
http://www.maykaworld.com/Stopped at Ollie's and got a Justice League Armored Batman 6 inch figure (the 5POA one you find at Five Below or Big Lots near the same size Star Wars ones). I saw it and thought it would look awesome decked out in Cobra BAT or BAAT colors. Or made up to be the new style SuperBAT the JOEs fought in the sewers in Devil's Due #12.
https://www.collectors.com/action-item/ ... 8414426818On my way out of TRU, I noticed they had stacks of shipping boxes for sale, 3 for $1. I got 15 of the smaller ones (size wise they look like they could hold 3-4 reams of copy paper) so I don't have to scramble to find the right size box for slightly bigger stuff.
Before I got in my car, I took one more pic of the ol' store.

EDIT:
I knew I would forget some things.
Grabbed a PS3 Disney Infinity Starter Pack set for 80 cents, PS3 Call of Duty Black Ops III Multiplayer/Zombies game (appears to have a full game digital download included), and three Star Wars coloring/activity books.
