Didn't get a chance to hit the store today (or this week, even), however I did managed to accomplish something today --

Lil' Chief just graduated college.

Ok - so not really MY accomplishment, but I was somewhat-tangentially involved ;-)

Congratulations to you, the Mrs, and the young-un!

I've got one currently working on his Masters and one who just finished his first semester, so I can definitely relate.

I had to do laundry today, so we ran some errands while we were out.

Picked up the PS4 GIJOE video game at Target for $15.33.

Used my new job Christmas bonus perk to get a free spiral cut bone in half ham. I really like my job. Less stress and more benefits.

Found this cool, brand-less fighter jet with much customizing potential:

The weaponry is too large, so I'll replace them. Then I'll have to decide which faction will become the proud new owner so I can select a suitable paintjob.
I really like the look and the figures fit in perfectly!

That plane is available in green and in white. I believe I have both versions.

I plan to paint over the rear canopy to swap it from a second cockpit to more actual plane room. With two cockpits it makes the plane too small

Dollar general plane, and one of the cooler off brand vehicles out there. I use the ones I got as a squadron of Star Fighters, which helps make the second cockpit make more sense too.

It has been available in black as well, but not as commonly seen.

Today's Dollar Tree ("Jurassic World) and thrift store (building set and balls) scores!

Dollar Tree has restocked their Mattel "Jurassic World: Micro Collection" figures for the Holidays and the assortment now contains the juvenile Stegosaurus that was previously exclusive to the boxed set 5pk found at Ross earlier this year!

The building set is a rerelease of one that I had in the late 70s (probably released in 78 or 79) but multicolored where mine was all white with a few small black connectors. The weird balls are something I have no idea of its origins, but they look like those fusion pods found all over Tattooine in the "Star Wars" saga. They just need greebles and paint. They are also really heavy. I paid $4.24 (including tax) for both bags.

It's been a while since it's come up but I thought the Dollar General jet was a knock off of the G.I. Joe Sigma Six Firebat. I remember it being discussed roughly a decade ago (yikes).

Your 2nd picture is awesome btw Tim.

I received my Star Wars TVC Stormtrooper armybuilder packs from HasbroPulse. Four Stormtroopers, 6 weapons (2 long rifles, 4 short) and an officer pauldron. They have the swivel/hinge hips which was my #1 reason for getting them. Swivel hinges on modern style figures just doesn't cut it for me. They also have a swivel at the top of the thigh and all the usual TVC articulation. I need to heat them all up a bit before I work the joints too much but I really like them. I got the limit of 2 4-packs so between these and the 5 Luke in Disguise troopers I have a nice army for my Mando crew to fight off. And I can fully crew the armored carrier from last year.

On a related note I also preordered the Shoretrooper 4-packs so I'll have a nice little army of those guys to play with some time next year.
