I'm going in for the civilian pack. I'll grab a zombie or two later maybe, but I have a bunch of GI Joe zombie vipers I can customize into enemies at some point.

Does this happen to you at TRU, BBTS, or JoeCon? Imho, a 'reasonable' amount should maybe be half a paycheck; depending on an individual's circumstances. Remember that - although it's never happened on the action figure side of KS - whatever money you pony up could just disappear and you end up with nothing. Whatever amount you pledge should never be more than you can lose.

Aside from that, you shouldn't succumb to 'everything-itis' just because they're showing off a lot of stuff. Completism is dumb, imho. Having Item A shouldn't have any bearing on whether you want to get Item B. Item B should justify itself in its own merits, not to 'complete' Item A.

So, don't pledge more than you can lose and don't pledge for stuff you don't want. Anything else is insanity, man.

Well, yeah, that's the problem. To quote Queen, "I want it all." If I was only interested in a few figures, I'd wait and see if the project made and snag them when they were ready to purchase.

I want the figures, I want the fodder, and stuffing a bunch of money into a shotgun and shooting it at my computer is the most economical means of getting them right?

It's the whole sunk cost fallacy, I know that. But being aware of it doesn't make it any easier, especially when it's the toyline I wish I was making. It's a rabbit hole of bad logic over a superfluous and emotional want.

I will probably go all-in, and am really mainly interested in just the civilians. Would you (or anyone else) want the zombies?

I also want it all, save for maybe some zombies to spare.

I do these KSs now for reliability of the investment and value. My personal reliability needs are almost all checked off by this one. So then it's a question of value.

Since the All-In gives me a guaranteed number of figures at a price better than most other options, AND since that value improves with every stretch goal unlocked, I'm super comfortable it's the best buy.

Over $110,000, so the first figure from wave 5 (Olivia) is now unlocked.
No images of her yet.

Edit:
Image added for Olivia, as well as an image for the next stretch goal, Ashley.

A decent Return of the Living Dead recipe for Trash can be made by bashing Olivia and Ashley. Which makes them easily my most-wanted figures in 30 years.

As of this posting, it's sitting at $120,355, so Ashley is unlocked.

I've never pledged more than $30 for a Kickstarter (BFS Medusa and the Larry Hama fig are the only ones I've done), but I went all-in on this one.

So many great designs - and even most of the zombies can be re-purposed with the bonus heads. And it looks like there will be so many figs included, that the ones I would normally offload will be cheap enough per-figure to use as fodder. Can't beat that kind of value.

And I pretty much hate zombies.

I'm another person who just wants the civilians (and really don't even want the post-battle variants). If anyone just wants the zombies, hit me up. At this rate I'm spending $231 for the Human pack + 3 more humans not in the pack. (Keanna, Olivia, Ashley).

Over $125K at the moment with 301 Contributors = an average $417.14. I see I'm dragging down the average with my measly $200.

May be time to start reminding people that if you think you might "Add-on" and do more purchases at the end, to consider adding those sums in now, while KS is live, to hit some extra stretch goals.
