2017 marks 30 years since GI Joe: The Animated movie was released, and to celebrate, this year's Two Week Challenges revolve around that!

The categories should be familiar to anyone who's seen a Custom Celebration in the past, but just in case, here we are:

1. Figure
2. Alpha Vehicle
3.Shoebox Diorama and/or prop

While the themes are meant to celebrate the Movie, they don't have to be from the movie necessarily.

Perhaps new, unseen Cobra La monsters or characters? We only caught a glimpse of the Kingdom of Cobra La, perhaps expand on that?

The Renegades had a turncoat in Mercer :mercer: , a football player in Red Dog :reddog: , and everybody's favorite circus acrobat in Taurus. :taurus:
Without repeating those backgrounds, what kind of crazy new Renegade can you come up with?
*without repeating just so we don't end up with every character being a defector from Cobra

What kind of environment (shoebox dio) or prop can you come up with from to help your team of choice here (Joes, Cobra, Cobra-La)?

* Please start one thread for yourself for all of your two week challenges and post the link back here in this thread. Be sure to update your progress with pics or even just to say what you thought about thinking about doing...but didn't do yet. :shifty: Because seeing peoples' different techniques and thought processes is way more important than the finished product, participants will be entered for a chance at some prizes kindly donated to get you involved.

:sgtslaughter: "You've got two weeks, maggot! Or end up in a ditty bag.. an itty, bitty, ditty bag."

You had to go and make it a Cobra-La challenge!

I completely geek out over the '87 movie.I remember running home from school just to pop in a vhs tape to record the movie when it was airing. For pete's sake, I think I can recite the movie verbatim.

The last customs I made were back during the Red vs Blue Lazer challenge.

I was thinking I would just lurk on this CC. But, now...damn you Pluv! ;)

Off to scour my custom to do list for Cobra-La entries. Who knows maybe I can get something going?

As I said in the Welcome post, bucky took the lead on a lot of the Celebration stuff. You can blame/thank him for the '87 movie theme. :D

I'm just glad it gets you off the sideline.

Alpha vehicles are those large ones right? Can we do smaller one-man rides? Like the Insecticycle?

Alphas are Armadillo/Fang size. The Insecticycle falls very well into that size class.
