We asked about your childhood collection. Now let's see how you currently show off your collection and/or customs. Please, pretty please. Some of us could use the helpful ideas and tips. In fact, some of us could use any help at all.

This is always fun. I've been moving stuff around recently to make more room for vehicles and such.

Waling in my basement room to the left of the door is my joeverse Joes. I replaced the 14 short shelves here with 6 long ones that I confiscated from the wall across the way, I'll get to those soon.

And the long wall to the right of Cobra. Three shelves that span 21 ft. These use to be 4 shelves below the top shelf crammed full of every GI Joe I owned. Had to store them away to make room for my joeverse. The top shelf is for storage the entire length.

Starting on the left:

The Red Shadows, European based group that has spread across the continent and now making a play on the international market since the defunding of Europe's Action Force.
The Coil, a cult like group that arose in the mid east awaiting the return of Serpentor. He has returned.

The Middle, right above my customizing desk:

The Dreadnoks, severed ties with Cobra and The Dreadnok Uncivil War that formed the IronKlad splinter gang. They are still considered a threat.
The Phoenix Guard, a group that was started after allegations of wasteful spending by GI Joe. If they can eliminate Cobra, they may replace GI Joe.==Destro and the Iron Grenadiers, he has came out of retirement to regain control of his facility on Cobra Island. The Phoenix Guard has allied with him unknown to many in the US government.

And finally:

OverKill Industries, a robotics facility taken over by Overkill, formerly Overland-Killingston Robotics. They were designing the new BAT for Cobra when taken over.
Mindbender Island, after discovering that Mindbender was attempting to create a new Serpentor, Cobra Commander tried to have Mindbender killed. His loyal sons, Victor Maximus and Venomous Maximus whisked him away to the safety of the nearby Isla Sorna where his research and experiments have continued in the abandoned facilities found there.

As far as my figure collection:

They have been placed in these drawers. 40 drawers per unit and so far I have 14 units. I still need to go back for at least 2 more. I'm in the process of cataloging and alphabetizing them. Troop builders are in the wider 4 and 6 inch 3 drawer Sterilite units. The shelf display was entirely too crowded and o-rings were beginning to fail. Too many parts and weapons were falling off the shelves to continue that display.

These pictures are a couple years old, and some of the stuff has changed. Everything is currently packed away, after a couple of false moves with moving, I decided I'd had enough of unpacking/packing it up and decided to just wait until the actual move happened. It's daunting/exhausting to unpack all of that stuff and set it up.

I'm looking forward to the day we do move, as I'd love to be able to put it all back up and have a corner with a desk to customize at.

Most of the items in the pictures I still have, with very little being added over the last 5 years. Some figures, some vehicles and some more Sideshow figures. I got rid of alot, not that my wife could ever tell. But having two kids cut into fun money, and the releases of Joes were so scattered that I just kinda quit trying to get everything. The random toys I would buy due to looking cool stopped with a large Megatron figure a couple years back. I haven't bought much of anything (outside of FSS and Con stuff) that wasn't for the purpose of ripping apart in a very long time. I get more enjoyment out of customizing than collecting these days.

I display my figures in those boxes they have at Michaels that are for footballs I think. I have been slowly putting backgrounds in instead of the mirrors. Here is one of them. My cobra squad. It usually does not have the bright light shining down but it looked cool for the photo.

My displays are about the same as they've been for the last few years, since moving into the house. I've swapped a few 12" figure around here and there but haven't done much besides that.

However, since we're talking customs, this is my custom Rock 'n' Roll display. Its all of the modern era custom RnR figures I've done as well as commissions, gifts, etc. of Rock 'n' Roll. It got moved from the Detolf in this picture to an Apex case from SmallJoes and now sits on one of the shelves in our hobby room. The layout is the same with a few more added to the front row since this was taken.

Image

And these two are all by themselves in Pro-Tech cylinders on my customizing desk.
