So here it is, the end of Custom Celebration 11, hopefully you got something started. Hopefully you can help us move forward as we make some changes.

What did you like during the Celebration?

What didn't you like?

What do you wish we included but didn't?

Too much, too little?

What did you get out of it? What did you learn?

What did I like? All of it.

What didn't I like? The fact that once again, time, space, work and the Fates combined to prevent me in participating in this celebration, just as they combine to prevent me from working in this medium at the moment.

Sigh. Guess there's always next year.... :(

But congrats to all the participants and winners. This sight continues to inspire me.

1. I really enjoy this every year....It reminds me how excited I was 15ish years ago when I first discovered the site. It makes me glad this is still a forum. CC is like the 1st "Cars" movie....There's a new super-highway out there, but this is still a community, I still visit, and I love it.

2. I missed the Dio / Photo topics. In CC's of the past, there was a new topic every 2 to 3 days. That is my favorite.

3. Seemed a little light this year. While I know this is contradictory to my 1st statement. Maybe a bigger push on facebook to drive more people here.

4. Inspiration....some of you guys are so creative.
-- I learned I still love this hobby in its purest form. I still get pumped-up when I see other peoples work.

Stop, you're going to get joemichaels70 all choked up and then they'll be no dealing with him until hugs are exchanged.

That was my call. We didn't have a ton of participation last year for those topics, so I thought doing it as a single contest with a prize might entice more people to take the time to snap a pic. A little behind the scenes, but the Con Set themes all came from Tim 121RVC's proposed diorama pic topics. We'll mix it up next year.

I cleared 1/4 of my WIP bin, had an excuse to play the song sex dwarf on repeat for an hour, giving my wife a laughing fit once she realized what I was working on. I jumped the gun some, wished I had waited a little longer to finish Serpentor, Devo Cobra Commander and the AirChariot. I always enjoy the virtual con sets, I really enjoyed the you're directing idea and could be built on as a make a Sunbow, DIC, Screaming Eagles, Extreme, Sigma, Valor vs Venom, Spytroops, Renegades, Resolute episode challenge. new building material tutorials are always welcome. I wish I could have done more but work and a leak in the garage needed my attention more. I know my standard style is a niche, I appreciate the inclusion of non 4" format to the JCA. I look forward to next year already, and hope that the community continues to raise the bar and expect more from each other. THANK YOU JOECUSTOMS, ALL OF YOU, ALL OF US!

I always look forward to CC. This year was no different. While a lot of things got in the way I still was able to poke around and see what others were doing and I have to say I was blown away. Really great stuff happening.

Next CC I'll be here to do more and say more.
