Hello!
I'm new here, as well as on the 'Tank ( forums in general, to be honest), and I build dioramas, predominately out of wood. It's worth noting that I also tend to be quite wordy, so apologies if my posts tend to ramble on!
I tend to focus mostly on Gi joe-related projects, though I also enjoy doing simple terrain and scenery ( an area I'm always trying to improve in!) I'm very receptive to criticism, even of the harshest variety, as I'm stubborn-as-hell, and being told that something I've built outright sucks only pushes me to create better work! If you see a project of mine, feel free to critique, judge, and above all, tell me how it could be improved!
My main questions are really related to sales of said custom pieces. I'm not here exclusively for that, but I do support myself with my work, and the occasional collection clearing. I'm really wanting to make sure that:
A) I'm not breaking any rules by having a link to my stuff on EBay as a signature
B) The attached photo isn't breaking any rules; some may consider it derisive, whereas I see it as a tribute to the greatest to line ever created!
C) It wouldn't break any rules to perhaps plug the fact that these are for sale when posting new works. I see there's a market place section... is that the only acceptable place to mention sales?
If you've made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read all of the above, any advice is more than welcome!
And if anyone needs any structures or terrain, feel free to message me, I take requests and work around budgets!

can't really answer your questions, but welcome to the forum. it gets slow here sometimes but if you are on facebook I think the jc on there stays busier.

probably not the best place to sell a lot since most of us are making dio's and such. there are requests for commissions all the time though so it might be more fruitful than I have witnessed in the open forum.

i'd love to see your work :) you can see mine by clicking the "customs" button at the bottom of my posts. you might need to sign up to the joecustoms home page and the forum, I think I did.

Welcome!

to answer your questions :

A. a link to your auctions in your signature is cool
B. your photo is cool. we like that kind of stuff.
C. when posting for critique or to show something in General Customizing, having links to eBay auctions has traditionally been seen in bad form around here, as that is what the Marketplace is for.

I know it's weird that A & C seem contradictory, but that's how we try to keep it from being a yard sale advertisement/ classified ad feel.

That said : look forward to seeing your stuff!
