Facebook is the new Ebay. LOL Lots and lots of GI Joe BST pages. I usually do not participate much on them but handy in situations like this.

What is the proper way to submit these as we get them done? I just clear coated Shadow Blade and I am finishing detailing its driver?

Dremel,

There will be a forum created specifically for this project, and it will have a topic in there, 'Meet the Racers' or something like that ... hang tight for just a bit more -

is there a guide to ram disassembly somewhere? I looked at the yo joe instructions, but it only required the seat and sidecar be assembled.

looks like the wheel rivet must be drilled out, after that? boil and pry?

Not sure what will and will not work but mine have all came apart real easy with a dremel disc.

Keep in mind it is 36 year old plastic. Breakage is a real possibility no matter how you do it. On mine I could just pull the front fairing off. There is a glued peg behind the headlight holding it on. A little heat should loosen it enough if it doens't budge. The wheels are held on with metal rivets. If you plan on using the struts at all you'll have to drill/dremel those off. Once the fairing and rivets are out, and the seat is off, it is essentially a two piece held together with internal pegs. I didn't trust the plastic enough to try prying the two sides apart but with a little heat and some flat screwdrivers as wedges it could be done.

Stickers will come off with Goo Gone and hot water. Because of the age of the stickers you really will want to clean those off or you'll get residue lines whereever they come off when you paint over it.

Yes avoid acetone. It usually eats plastic. Goo gone works best I have found. Then clean with dish soap

Soooo, how screwed would a bike be if it didn't fly/hover?

No one's quite sure how Lugg, known among the fans as 'The Bikebarian' convinced the cigar chomping racing tech savant 'The King' to design his bike, but they all agree that the Firebreather is about the only machine that could hold up to him. Powered by King's signature K.R.A.C.K.L.E. tech the 'Breather is slow to accelerate, but nearly indestructable and surprisingly fast at top speed.

The K.R.A.C.K.L.E. compensates for the Firebreather's weight, negating the density of the 'wheels' and allowing Lugg to compete on any terrain. Lugg prefers the crunch of the ground under him, but has adapted his racing style better than many anticipated. What Lugg hasn't adapted to is a circuit where the focus is more on speed and skill. Where Lugg comes from those are nice to have, but hardly a necessity if you've got a strong right arm and a bike built to turn boulders into gravel. He doesn't place any stock in manners or sportsmanship unless he's forced to. That helmet? Required by the officials. After the number of bite wounds sustained by the racers in his last league the insurance company wouldn't let him compete otherwise.

Cool custom Hypno. Would make an awesome Road Warrior vehicle. Does it fly? If not, will there be ground under the race track to drive on?

Anyway, you should start a thread for it over on the race board.
