I showed my Mom this thread as an example of how talented and skillful the members of this board are.

I wasn't sure where this custom was going (and I don't recognize the actual car), but seeing the mods and work to get there is simply amazing.

This is why I like this hobby. The ability to create a new character or vehicle by breathing new life into parts is inspiring.

Are you going to go back in and cut in the hood vents?

Thank you DarkJedi ! that truly means a lot.

you should check out the movie "The Wraith" it is pure 80's cheese on top of science fiction. basically it is the story of an alien like ghost back on earth for vengeance in a mid engine super car that fell from the sky.

I should have sculpted them in , but I was more focused on getting the rough profile of the nose to my liking. it is far from screen accurate so I might apply some other detail there. i'm back and forth about sculpting the door areas. the source has small side ducts (air intake to cool engine) but I kind of like the large duct that the top and bottom pieces created.

Is the driver going to fit in the car? That's going to be an epic challenge to get it straight and not wavey especially if your going black. Cool project I vagley remember that movie.

thanks oreobuilder!

i'm not planning on fitting the figure in, there is no scenes of the car being driven iirc just a few of the driver stepping out. the sci-fi aspect almost portrays the car and driver as one entity. you should watch it again Blood Brigade!

thanks past nastification! this try was pretty quick. I chopped the nose off the base, taped on the black top piece and did the two rounds of sculpting all in two evenings. maybe 4 hrs not including taking all the screws out of the base!
