First let me apologize to everyone on here for being MIA for a while. Life sometimes gets in the way of your hobbies. So since it has been so long I had to give you all something BIG to make up for my absence. And my love for Mechs has not diminished. LOL!
Tons of work and many hours (over 200 hrs) went into this project. Almost gave up a few times on this beast but for the
most part it's done. I will tweak it a bit more in the future (decals and such). ENJOY and GLAD to be BACK!

Short back story
Before Gundam, Robotech, or Pacific rim there was this... ALPHA TITAN 1. The very first piloted Jaeger Mech ever built!
It was after the 2nd World War that select nations of the world created a top secret team to create a giant mech robot to help fight against the evils of man. The program was shut down during the cold war and AT1 was moth balled and forgotten... Until now! Dr Crank Von Strapper the only member of the AT1 team still living requested
the GI Joe's resurrect the project after finding out that Cobra was building its own Jaeger to destroy all in their path.
The Joe's agreed and after adding modern technology ALPHA TITAN 1 is ready for BATTLE!

Jaeger Mech: ALPHA TITAN 1
Pilot: Niko Yamiyo Code name: Black Iris

This toy is BIG!
Stands over 26 inches
Weighs 7 plus pounds
Articulation is OK (about the same as a Pacific Rim figure)
Parts used: ArmorBot, Unicron, Supreme Star Scream, Sig 6 DragonHawk,
Walmart 14" walking robot, tons of random fodder
A lot of scratch building
And way to much PAINTING!

Oh and the diorma was an after thought to show a bit of scale.

Can we get a shot of the cockpit/controls area? I'm curious how the figure is sitting/standing in it.

This is simply spectacular. Love the crisp paint apps.

Why jump on the bandwagon, when you can ride the Short Bus?

Once in a while a custom comes along that seems to raise the bar, or seems so ambitious that it must've been tough to hide the progress. This is definitely one of those great jobs.
