some great looking figures! i like the venom set the best. i can see in these pics you did a lot of sculpting on all the helmets. did you start on a base or just free sculpt them?

Luckily I've only had to sculpt Matt Trakker's Ultra Flash. I was able to find a caster that had all of the other masks. Moving forward though I have 5 more planned and I'll have to sculpt all of those masks though.

It was the 25th/ME Joe line that got me into customs and launched this project to make all of the best 80s properties in scale with GI Joe. I actually have made a few Joe customs so figured I would show the collection with the customs since they inspired this whole thing.

Snake Eyes has a few parts swapped, Duke got a new head and Scarlet has the retro figure head. Everyone else is factory.
Image

Covergirl is the only custom here.
Image

Spirit and Cutter have new custom heads.
Image

85 group is perfect as is and in my opinion the best year of Joe figures.
Image

Iceberg has a new custom head and some other mods from the club figure, Wet-Suit has a new helmet and lower arms and legs, Leatherneck is a full custom as I thought the 50th one was too big, Dial Tone is a custom
Image

Psyche Out and Sneak Peek are customs
Image

Repeater (I thought the club figure was too big), Blizzard (club figure didn't look enough like the ARAH version), Countdown is a custom, Budo is a custom and Hardball is a custom
Image

Slaughter is a custom and Red Dog and Taurus have custom heads
Image

Maverick has the vintage helmet added with a custom head
Image

Baroness has a custom head
Image

Big Boa is a custom
Image

Monkey Wrench has a custom head, new gloves and sculpted wraps on the legs
Image

Just cool Cobra Troops no customs
Image

Golobulus is a custom

Speechless. I love them all. I have no choice. Being an 80s kid and all. That Baroness. Where did you get that custom head? I want!

GI Joe is hands down the best toy line ever and they made almost everyone in ME so I didn't have to make many customs which was awesome.

Baroness is a cast from the SDCC one released a few years back. I picked it up at a GI Joe convention and had it for years before I finally painted it.

Well a couple things:

1. Great job. You are extremely talented and those customs are spot on. I am very impressed with Sundown.

2. Was I accidentally controlling your TV from when you were a kid because it seems like you watched every cartoon that I watched.

1. Thanks. I try as much as possible to stick to the source material, but sometimes the cartoon and figures looked different like in the case of COPS (I went action figure), Thundercats and MASK (I went cartoon look) and some others as well.

2. The 80s were just such a great time to be a kid. I bet most of us that around the same age watched the same stuff and had the same action figures. I was a diehard Bionic 6 and Centurions cartoon guy. COPS I liked the comics and figures better than the cartoon, but the cartoon was still good.

Finally finishing up the customs for one of my favorite cartoons as a kid the Bionic 6. All of the other members of the Bionic 6 and Scarab groups are on pages 6 and 7 of this thread in case anybody wants to see them.

Sure it. Good eye! He is almost 100% sculpt. Only the hands and half a foot aren't covered by sculpt.
