UPDATE 3/11: Newest pics on Page 3

Yeah, so, I'll apologize now...this isn't going to be very interesting to look at for awhile. But I wanted to start a WIP thread to motivate myself to finish. This is my first scratch building project, and I've been working on it for a few days now. Here's what I've got so far:

Day One-ish:

Day two-ish:

Yeah, so, not much to look at right now. In the second picture, the front half isn't glued together yet (I'll need it open to do some more cockpit work) and is just sort of leaning together. I'm wondering if anyone can tell what I'm building based on this (it's not Joe related, but it is an existing thing). Hopefully it'll get more interesting as the days go on.

I had to google to remember what Silverhawks were. But there ship does look a bit like what I'm building (at least the front).

I've got no clue. Great start though. I applaud your bravery at undertaking such a build and I'm looking forward to the progress shots.

My guess would be Hawk's fighter from the Buck Rogers TV series.

I was hoping it was gonna be a GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat.
Looking forward to seeing the end project. You have made some very VERY impressive vehicles in the past so the end product should be a treat!

Nah, it's either the Moldy Crow or the Raven's Claw.

Judging by the angles, I'm going with the Raven's Claw.

Moldy Crow. Raven's Claw has a more tapered nose. Though I might be making that, eventually, too. I made the mistake of trying to draw the shape from memory on my first go, and as a result have an accidental good start on the Claw.

Damnit, I knew that's what it was. I just somehow got the name mixed up with that of KotOR's Millenium Falcon knock-off.

Day three: Didn't get a lot done, but managed to finish closing off the main structure of the tail section. Still nothing much to look at.

This is, again, not going to look very impressive, but it was a [LASER BLAST] to get done. The window frames:

I still have to sand them a bit.

I love watching these scratch-built projects.

I think anyone that attempts them deserves kudos, especially if they keep others involved with WIP shots.

Having done a very little window making they may not look impressive but there is a ton of work goes into them.

Am looking forward to the rest
