Just some items I got around to casting.

I've wanted to make an ALIEN egg farm Dio for years now. I'm going to need 12-24 eggs. And I've finally gotten around to casting the egg . . .

Image

Pouches. I got tired of hacking up perfectly good figures for fodder.

Finally, MAJOR BLOOD (from The Fighting 1:18th forum) lent me this excellent Dio piece. I plan redoing the sewer covers on my street Dio using this . . .

Thanks for lookin'.

everything is cool, and re-casting pouches you use a lot of makes a ton of sense. Wish I was set up to do the same. But those eggs are brilliant, as is the man hole cover.

Good call. Yeah I'd modify one of the casts to be closed. You could probably use clear dish soap as goo.

Are those Eggs from the Hot Toys snap kits? Did you cast them in 1 or 2 parts like they come?

Fun thought. What if you cast one of the eggs in a softer, flex material...but before you pour the mold insert a bit of string or wire leading to the 4 flaps. So when you put tension on the strings it pulls the flaps closed....Then make a little twisty base so as you twist the egg it opens and closes.

Most awesome John.

I have the backdrop Alien egg piece from the one of the Kubrick style things where two of the three eggs on the piece are closed. It kind of has a closed egg-opened egg-closed egg thing going on. They are definitely in scale. Also a face hugger, if you need to cast those in the future.

Very cool to see you back at this.

Casting is a skill I've often wished I had the patience to develop.

looking good, they look crisp. The sewer lid will look great in dios - hope you spread the love with that one in the community! I can totally see tunnel rat peeking out from under one!

Thanks for the feedback. comments. I'm not going to be selling anything. I'm mainly trying to get what I need for Dio/fodder use.

Cap, I'm into one of those closed eggs for sure. PM when you can ship it, and we can work something out for the lend.
Nova, that's an excellent idea for sure. If I do an ALIEN Dio-Story that's something I'll look into.

Again, thanks all!

Here's a look at the eggs painted (With Duke and a McFarlane ALIEN). The bottom left egg is the original...

jmc2915 gave me the idea to make a cover into a shield, so I decided to test it out. I simply glued some stretch material inside for the strap/handle ...
