Another masterful figure. Excellent work.

Are Odin's arms from a Narnia figure?

Awesome Odin by the way.

Those are indeed Narnia arms. King something or other.

The rest is a variant Thor figure with a variant Dr. Doom cape and that helmet started out as a BTR Blowtorch helmet (grafte on some DCIH Hawkman helmet wings and Lego horns).

Glad you guys dig him.

Now I just need to find a couplf of ravens.

Thanks again for the kind words, all. Glad you're digging my Asgardians.

Keeping in that theme but dialing the difficulty way back, wanted to share my tweaks to the recent Valkyrie figure:

I didn't do much. Just added the blue cape and swapped out her bland lower legs for some fun ones off a Jane Foster Thor (that I was NEVER going to use as Thor). Now she's a little closer to the way I remember her and helps me round out a group shot I've been wanting to take for years:

What do you guys think?

When I saw the post title, I was all "what does he need to do with Valkyrie?" Now I'm all like "where did you get that cape?" ;-)

Great stuff, Spinny! I was actually popping those Thor-ina legs onto a Valkyrie just last night (for a Teela custom, though) glad I have another one in the bin - I'm gonna do this for my Brunhilde as well.

Thanks, Chief.

I think the cape came off a DCIH Black Hand, for whatever that's worth.

I'm also toying with a set of alternate legs that would bring her even closer to her old-school appearance, but if I went that route I'd have to shorten her arms a bit and sacrifice her extra height, I think:

Thoughts?

Nice! I use a Retaliation Joe's blue cape.
Jane Foster I am using as a generic Asgardian.

I love the alternate legs but I see your point about her long arms. That's a tough choice. But it's not that noticeable. Either way she is stunning!

Appreciate the kind words, gents.

You know, it's funny, but it's been a while since I had enough time to customize like this - getting one or more done a week. And I forgot the danger of doing that is the strong likelihood that I'd get impatient and make a figure I wished Hasbro would get to JUST in time to learn Hasbro was making it.

That was the case yesterday, when I took a break from putting the finishing touches on my movie-verse Yondu only to read this thread. Oh, well. Here's the leader of Starlord's former band of space pirates anyway:

He's definitely not as gritty/grimy as he looked in GotG 1, but I was going for a plausible post-reformation Yondu, trying to imagine how he might look after he formally joins the Guardians and cleans himself up a bit.

Here he is next to my custom Starlord (the other half of that forthcoming 2-pack), which I also made a few tweaks to since originally posting:

And here's a group shot of all my custom Guardians so far:

I'm going to go ahead and try Mantis and Nebula next, even if Marvel/Habro have those waiting up their sleeves.

nice work, and he fits great with your team. I was much further behind your efforts, but I had gone so far as to make a Walking Dead michael Rooker head into Yondu before seeing the new toy pending. I'll still finish it as it might look less goofy, but will definitely wait for the new figure for the body

Thanks for the kind words on Yondu.

I handed hiom down to my son when I got the new 2-pack.

I also spent some time this week revisiting a custom I wasn't completely happy with. And it isn't lost on me that I finished covering up a lot of green on this figure just in time for St. Paddy's Day:

My new Red Hulk is built on the same 2007 movie figure base as my regular Hulk, so now they stand at the same height and share similar frames:

Cracking that movie Hulk torso was a TON of work (I recommend avoiding it if you can) and required a lot of patchwork be done on the figure with green stuff after I transplanted the MU Red Hulk arms onto him. But I think it was worth it to have him in better scale with the rest of my customs:
