I work from home drawing comic books and such for a living. And, between breaks or whenever I feel the URGE to take pictures, I set up some diorama pieces I made over my 22"x30" drawing table and get to be a kid again. Once the itch is scratched, I take everything down and get back to work.

The lighting I use is just the fluorescent lamp I use to draw and the natural light from the window, nothing fancy. And for camera, I use a Samsung TL220 point-and-shoot and as I can only afford to collect G.I.Joe; if you see something unfamiliar, chances are it's scratch-built.

Here's some of my recent ones!

awesome work! thanks for sharing.

I'd love to know more - a) of details for any scratch built work you do, and b) what kind of comics are you involved in?

Looking forward to more posts like this one, as well.

Wow. What are those blast effects made of?

I am digging the camera angles.

Very, very nice stuff.
Like Raptor said, the angles and perspectives are fantastic.

Got home and have a big enough screen to actually get a look of the detail on the sets. The brickwork is amazing.

Here's a couple more shot from the same set that I took with a different camera. I liked the happy accident on the blurred picture as it felt as though there is action.

Took these pictures last month to road test the muzzle flashes before I sold them.

Yeah, these are great. Wonderful work. I peaked at some your linked comic work, and it's very professional.

Looking forward to seeing more of your pictures. Could you snap a wide shot of this diorama for us, so a larger view of what you've put together?

Thanks! I'll try to remember to take a photo of the diorama on my next set up.

Those look really good. I love all the different angles you were able to take the pics from. That is usually the last thing I think of.

Thanks, pluv!

Here's a recent picture using the ghillie cloak I made a while back. Before anyone ask the Low-Light ain't mine and the dragunov's the only sniper rifle I have. :D

Big fan of the top and natural looking lighting, and the sets scream.
