Man I thought that was a movie still you were going to show as inspiration for the dio shot. Really nice job.

can you talk about your pipes and what they are made of? are all the walls your real concrete?

The pipes are assorted plastic balloon sticks that I wrap with masking or duct tapes as pipe joints. Walls are just styrofoam that I coat with plaster of Paris. Can't afford XPS foam. Third World guy here, haha!

I tried using wall putty before. Plaster can get messy and tedious, what with all the mixing and cleaning up. But I didn't like the result of putty. Too smooth. I missed the grit/texture of plaster as can be easily seen in macro mode.

Also, add black and brown India ink/paint to the water and a little glue. So it'd look as though you're using real cement. And in case the plaster cracks or gets chipped, it won't be bright white. Used to drive me nuts in my early years until I thought of it. Afterwards, I paint everything with gray again and dry brush with whatever color I thought of using for the walls. Then finally, I add a black/brown wash.

Also, save the dried up excess from the plaster mix sometimes. The rubble you see on Roadblock's feet are them.

you have really nailed the plaster and pipes. they look so real .if someone didn't know the men were toys they would just assume they are 1/1 pics or movie stills.
