Here's Zartan from his appearance in GI Joe #84 (which was reseen in DDP's Dreadnoks Declassified). I've had this on my "to-do" list for quite some time but couldn't figure out what to do for a head. No ARAH head has the widow's peak, huge sideburns, and sweet ponytail that Zartan was sporting when the future Cobra Commander hired him to kill the future Snake Eyes. Can you guess what head I finally used? Here's a hint: it's Ninja Force Zartan. The ponytail is from Headman. I'm not 100% happy with how the widow's peak sculpting turned out as it looks a bit more like a receding hairline. The peak stars where the mohawk cavity is, which is actually pretty far down his forehead. I didn't want to sculpt the rest of the hair and obscure more of his forehead though. In person the jeans look a bit more worn than the pic shows; I used the Desert Tunnel Rat's legs and just gave them a single coat of paint which made them look a bit worn. Now I just need to find a 1/18 pool cue. :)

Waist & Legs: Tunnel Rat

Very nice, and a great capturing of the character. I remember him from the DDP comics. I'll have to revisit #84 for a refresh on that take.

AMAZING! Brilliant idea using that Ninja Force Zartan head, and I think the hair works very well. What a cool "coulda been" comic pack figure!

Sentiments echoed... Great looking figure... I'm gonna have to go dig out a few Ninja Zartan heads and fill in that Mowhawk gap...It'll make a head that's nearly as versatile as Salvo's...
