Dusty79 did a great job with the Slugger and Thunder. Thanks for the great feedback and comments. Whether it a a pat on the back or constructive criticism, we always appreciate it as it helps us to get better at what we do.

Day 25 is up with two more mail away items from the Operation: Rescue Duke subset.

Enjoy!

I am very impressed with Starduster. I didn't get to see pictures of a lot of these figures before writing the file cards, especially those based on established characters, so these reveals are new for me, too, and I think he really came out great.

I did have a chance to see the "Create-a-Cobra" before I wrote the file card, and it's another awesome figure, but I have to say that his was actually one of the most challenging file cards of any that I wrote for this project. How do you write a file card for what's basically an anonymous character, that could be either an individual or a trooper depending on the whims of the person that buys the figure, and still make the file card sound interesting and work well within the concept? NOT easy.

Starduster is a great modernized look while retaining the spirit of the original. I'm not sure about the starred armor, either, but it's very minor. Would've liked to have seen some mufflers on the JUMP to fit his modifications for quiet running, but the external fuel tank/missile attachment is very creative.

I really like how generic Create-a-Cobra is yet still very interesting. Like the BAT thigh electronics; a kid could make that anything - a bomb, computer, radio, etc. And I had no idea that helmet would fit over that head; nice look!

Love the Create-A-Cobra. That is awesome. Totally would buy that.

I like everything about Starduster except for the jetpack. I think the figure updates work, but maybe it is just the coloring but it looks like a trash can with dual exhaust. I know that critique isn't very helpful but I really don't know what I'd do other than replace the whole thing.

I absolutely LOVE that Cobra Trooper, that head and helmet combo is amazing.

This project is great. I look forward to seeing what goes up each day. Keep 'em comin'.

I've always liked the HISS II, and I think it looks really great in black. But these Track-Vipers are AMAZING! When I wrote the file card for these guys, I hadn't seen the figures, and I was thinking, "Should be interesting to see how they translate to a modern style", since I always thought the Track-Vipers were a little odd-looking to begin with. These are incredible!

But you shouldn't've made two of them, you know. Now everybody's going to want one of the ones you've already made...

Lord, I would buy all of these (though I'd probably hunt down a regular JUMP pack for the Starduster), I'd really need to buy a bunch for all of the HISS IIs and Create A Cobras I'd be trying to get. ;-)

Love the concept here and the execution. This is what Hasbro should be doing, looking at reinvigorating the line for kids young and old!

Beachhead is a nice solid update. Something seems off to me on Firefly, though I think fixing the eyes would probably address most of that.

Thanks fior the feedback guys. I like the idea of having mission-specific uniforms for Joes.

Bucky did a great job recreating the look of Battle Corps Firefly. I'll be copying that recipe to add to my BC ranks.

In the meantime, day 28 is up with Duke's rescue party.

Enjoy!

This is some really great stuff. I always thought the Desert Fox would look good in green. The Hawk figure is amazing! A really great take on the second version of the original figure. And Skidmark comes across a lot better than someone with one of the more unusual color schemes should. This is a great set!

I was presented with a bit of a challenge on the General Hawk card. All the other cards have that "From General Hawk's Files" lead-in to the second paragraph -- but it seemed rather inappropriate for General Hawk to be talking about HIMSELF. So I changed it over to a basic but, I think, workable paragraph from "Pentagon Files".

Hawk looks fantastic!
Really looks like a seasoned leader that means business.
