I'm going to use the other GotG thread for WIP updates as I tear through this set. Here is a completed Star-Lord. I might still add the other strap for his bag. I will add an orb to his set of accessories, and I will make a second alt short coat figure once I'm done with the core team. And, I will have to think real hard about how these guys fit in with my current verses.

Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord.

Construction Notes
-Unmasked head is a face from (Kili? Fili?) a Hobbit Dwarf, which I sculpted around.
-The masked head is a G.I. Joe 25A Wraith that I modded with apoxie and pieces from the mini-mates Star-Lord
-Guns are similarly modded combos of G.I.Joe weapons and Mini-mates guns.
-Coat came from my fodder bin - I don't know the source, but it was made in brown originally.
-Arms: Ret. Crimson Guard. The armor on the left arm comes from SW Katarn, SW Clone, and apoxie
-Legs: POC Firefly
-Torso: RoC Snake Eyes (PP version)

-The Cassette player is modded from the mini-mates accessory, and it is removable from the belt via magnets
-The bag is made from Hobbit and Pirates of the Caribbean parts
-The belt is modded from Star Trek
-Holsters scratch built from plastic tape.

Thanks for looking, comments, critiques and suggestions welcome

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with him. We'll see how well he holds up as my son has already been playing with him.

I think Gamora is the next to get completed.

If Pluv hadn't already said it, I would have said, "You're who?!?!

I had such low expectations for the movie, but was blown away by it... I won't be asking "who" Star Lord is any more...

Anyway, getting to your figure here Doc: he is most excellent! The work is superb, as I always find with your customs, and the parts choices were inspired! Thanks for sharing another of your amazing customs with us!

Thanks guys! I admit I'm pretty happy with him, and though it was a pain at the time, I'm kinda proud of the diversity on that parts list.

Glad you guys like. Spin, you're right in the sense that I definitely spent more time even just thinking about this custom, and how to get it where I wanted, than I do on most of them.

Tim - that Rocket figure was not fun to make at all! I can walk you through what I did though, if you have the parts.
