Day 3 is up with one of the more recognizable toys from the '70s - Big Jim's Sports Camper.

Captain Power is simply amazing, like he walked right out of the tv-series!

Thanks guys. This was a really fun project to work on. Basically, we combed through old Sears catalogs online and pointed at stuff we felt like making. The variety of toys kept the project interesting throughout. One day, we could be working on a monster, the next day a military guy and the day after that an RV. Half the ideas we had didn't even make it into the project. We'll need a part 2.

Anything Big Jim is a Big Win for me. That camper rocks. Catches the vibe perfectly.

How well do figures go inside of it? I know playmobil stuff is close usually. Can a Joe sit in a seat?

The Big Jim stuff is very cool, but I must admit I had no idea what it was when OB started making it.

I dremelled the bottom out of the base under the steering wheel so Joes can fit. Otherwise, a Joe could not fit. I'll take a pic.

Here are some quick shots of the fit of a figure. Sorry for the poor quality. My camera batteries are charging, so I made due with the iPad.

I've never seen the base bank truck before. at first glance I thought you used a funko breaking bad rv I had an eye on.

the big jim set looks like a labor of love. the attention to detail in a non military set is over the top. truly better than any production outdoor set I have seen. world class guys!

Link is excellent!
And the Vamp is probably the strangest (but still cool) themed version I've ever seen!

These quality customs bring back many fond memories of The Legend of Zelda (NES), Link's Awakening (GB) and A Link to the Past (SNES)....
