In issue #28 of the Marvel comic, Firelfy and Cobra Commander come across a secret panel in Zartan's swamp hideout. The computer panel is a disguise for arcade game controls for a robotic Cobra army. This was before the Battle Android Troopers came along so these were essentially Beta BATS.

So I'm outside yesterday raking up leaves and cleaning up the mess winter left, and my mind starts drifting. I start thinking how having some robot helpers doing this work sure would be great. Like the BATS Firefly used to get out of the frieghter long before Zartan and Billy. Why didn't Zartan think of using the BATS? He had a whole robot army once. Why haven't we seen figures of them? A bazooka trooper and some CC gloves and your 90% there. Maybe a CC head with some modifications. Too bad I don't have a chrome helmet. Hey, wait a minute, I DO have a chrome helmet.

And that, my friends, is my normal Always Be Customizing* train of thinking.

I'd like a few of those heads all chromed up, to put on some WWII era German figures. But something about the look of this is retro scifi inspiring. even though you captured the image from the comic, the figure has something more going on with the head that adds to it.

It is odd that they never released a figure like this. Way to fill the void. Looks good, I will make my own.

I like it.

Just needs a little yellow effect (maybe from Star Wars or hot glue) on the antenna.

The eyes give it a 60s CyberMan vibe, somehow. You definitely need at least two more.

Not a bad idea. I'll have to see if I have something that will work.

This is very cool and I like the little control console.

I'm glad you brought that up because I totally forgot to give Dusty79 credit for that idea. He did a more modern take on that with his D-63 Redbird drone from last year's Custom Celebration.

I'm not ashamed to admit I was giddier than the Joker making an entrance when I realized I get to finally steal that idea.
