Another Micro Force figure scaled up to 1:18. It somehow balances on the feet.

Thanks, guys!

I didn't sculpt the skirt at all. It is the lower piece from an Indiana Jones- Cairo Swordsman figure wedged under/glued to the belt/thigh pads of a NS Slice figure.

If I could figure out a good way to make "fabric" I'd be thrilled. I usually use masking tape, which works okay for things like short jackets or knee-length skirts. But long flowing robes/capes with ripples... haven't figured that one out yet. I'm generally against using actual fabric because it often looks out of scale on 1:18 figures.

i'm going to be experimenting with glue soaked fabric. my wife did some paper sculpture with coffee filters painted with glue for ruffles. it dried stiff but looked like flowing fabric.

What's fun about this custom is how closely it transfers the look of the Micro Figure instead of the Vault figure that the Micro Figure was supposed to be based on. It look better off for it too.

Sweet combination of parts!
But what I like best is the real look of a kendoist.

Thanks!

After looking at the MF mini-figure, I spent a lot of time looking up stick fighting to see what the uniform components are. It seems like there are different styles and levels of gear available, so I picked elements that looked close to the mini-figure and went for it.

I was pretty pleased with how the neck/shoulder padding turned out, as it's cardboard with epoxy curved around the neck.

I tried painting the mask with flesh tone in between the slots on the mask, but it didn't look right. Solid black is okay.
