thanks guys! I can't even imagine how a kickstarter could work since every thing I make is a one of. if I made molds and cast swords they wouldn't have multiple types of metal. I did that with brass swords that looked ok, but nothing like my steel blades :)

If you haven't made a custom of yourself yet as a medieval blacksmith, you're missing a great opportunity here to have art imitating life imitating art.

these two I left extra sprue material on and fashioned it into extended mags. I decided to try a tiger camo with black rhodium over gold. pretty sure these will go to destro.

1 of the frame only casts I made from a desert eagle wax is almost finished, it's going to be awesome!!

I have been trying to make a working auto for a looong time, feels good :) the frame was a brass cast, the barrel support and slide are carved from brass stock, the sights are brass wire lasered on, and the barrel is a SS tip off of a tube of flux. everything is held together by the barrel which is just press fit into the front support. I had to take it apart about a dozen times while fitting it all together.

thanks a lot guys! I tried several times with my cast 1911 to make a racking slide, but the piece is just too small. the desert eagle was big enough and the fixed barrel design gave me the wiggle room to pull it off. it was a lot of work from cast frame, to soldering on the front lug and cross support under the barrel, all the way to the tiny sights.
