thanks for all the compliments!

the indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull throne would look good with montezuma, if he had better articulation.

thanks pluv! I was planning on saving the best for last, but it looks like i will be finishing Napoleon Bonaparte or the Egyptian, last. I am putting the finishing touches on Alexander, Philip, Julius and Napoleon. Alexander is my favorite, so far.

Ripcord in disguise as Zartan has a layer of clear coat drying, and he will be ready for pictures!

Thanks Cap!

Kwinn Lives posted some customs the other day (and a very nice tip about satin varnish!), and it inspired me to finally "finish" what I have been working on for the last year or so... I hated the way my customs looked, with the custom parts matte, and everything else mildly gloss.

Here is my personal favorite!
Alexander the Great
Head: Cast Ghost Rider from Vortious
Chest & arms: Storm Shadow v14
Waist & legs: Boss Fight Skeleton
Leg Armor: Grunt v6 heavily modified with sculpted lion head knee pads
Sword and Shield: Boss Fight Studios
Belt and Sheath: Boss Fight Studios
Helmet: Roman Helmet cast from AVACS Lab with heavy modifications including sculpted lion head and eagle feathers
Armor: Boss Fight Studios, modified with medusa head medallion from another boss fight armor piece

Some reworking of older ones:
I added a sculpted spike on Hannibal's shield and put another layer of bronze on, to increase contrast on his armor.

Changes to Genghis Khan:
Cut the handle down to size on his sword, and used the pin vise/wire technique to reattach. I also sculpted a belt hanger for it on his belt.

And lastly, a glimpse of things to come:
Julius Caesar, Napoleon Bonaparte and the troublesome one... I am basing my dio off of Marvel's "Birth of Serpentor", and nowhere in any official comic or canon does it say who the mummy actually was! I would assume it was either Thutmose III or Rhamses II as they were the greatest leaders of ancient Egypt. The tv version uses a fictitious egyptian general by the name of Xanuth Amen Toth. I am choosing to go with Thutmose III.
