Finally starting to do some rough setups at my collection building. Trying out my MegaBlok Joes with my MP/Close-Enough Transformers:

looks like lots of fun! you would think lego would start making some better articulated and more realistic figures.

Yes!

Great shots & customs! Once you add Dianauts to the mix, it starts getting pretty trippy because of all the scales.

Honestly, Mega Construx are the best toys out there for customizing. If I was a kid starting out, these are exactly what I'd buy. They're just so much damn fun to work with!

LEGO's figures have come a long way since the Classic Spacemen, but there's something charming about their simplicity. Mega Construx is playing the game exactly as it should be: NOT trying to be LEGO. That's where all the others fail. Mega thrives as the anti-LEGO, if anything. They do stuff that LEGO won't/CAN'T do. To me, they're doing things WAYYYYY more innovative and interesting than LEGO, who are #1, but also boxed in (pun possibly intended).

The kid in me that played with Hit and Run on the recliner with his grappling hook and duffel bag is smiling at your image of "Snake Eyes" at the foot of the gestalt and "Doc" kneeling over a fallen soldier.

Good times .

Mega Bloks (Mega Construx) still have me hooked. Every time i trade away HALO MB ...i turn around and buy Call of Duty MB or in scale fodder. That is NOT how you thin out a collection

Le sigh. That looks like fun. One day there will be 1:18 scale transformers.

Thanks, guys. After working two weeks straight, plus some night work, I finally got a day to just chill, so I went to the cave and hid out. I had some fun organizing stuff and putting the Joes in that setup. I really like the since of size they give the transformers.

Pluv, someone did a 1:18 knock off of masterpiece sideswipe. I thought about getting him but was afraid it would just scratch the itch enough to really make me want more.

This is exactly what Kreo should have been and Dr Bob hit the nail on the head why they failed: they imitated instead of innovated. The current Hasbro Boys Toys managers have none of the talent of their predecessors.

Glad you like it. Hasbro could have had something on their hands if they would have gone that route with Kreo. It would allow for some great MASK stuff, GI Joe, and lines that might not make a comeback otherwise, like Visionaries. They could even try to give the Masterpiece line a wider release and include Kreons as pack-ins with them like this -- maybe a Spike and/or Sparkplug, Carly, Chip, etc.
