Exciting! Can't wait to see these posted. I had and loved so many of the various GI Faux figures when I was a kid. I keep hoping Lanard will do a release of their OG figures in the new styling, but I doubt that will ever happen, so customs are it for them.

The first step was to scour the web for good reference pictures. That is easier said than done. There are a few sites that have character lists with pictures, but none are exhaustive, so we were always finding figures that were not on one site or another.

I hear you there. I did the Sgt Rock Bad Guys a few years ago and one of them I later found out is in the wrong colors because I went off the best pics I could find and they were all washed out and color-shifted. Didn't realize it until I saw one by chance in person in a thrift store a while back.

These are all fantastic. As soon as I saw the American Defense logo, I got all nostalgic and your versions are great updates.

Well done, all of them.
Really digging Trenchcoat. Typical 80's look, like he walked right out of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal. Buttons McBoomboom from C.O.P.S. also kinda comes to mind. I'd add this custom to the Headhunters.

I'm liking Spike as well. Needless to say, he'd make a perfect Dreadnok.

I really like what you are doing with these. I will also echo the desire to find a comprehensive list of all the different characters from the various lines.

I didn't get any of these growing up, because they weren't GIJOE. Now I'm regretting it and that 'snobbish-not-GIJOE-attitude'... :D

I picked up a Claw head some years ago, but in a lighter color. Never knew what it was from. NIKAKIHTB!

Forest Green cracked me up bucky. Same reason, because of how rediculous and yet awesome it is. So bad it is good.

Hypno, you can send that Claw my way now that his reveal is over. I remember walking by and slamming on the brakes all stop when I saw it in person. Fan-dam-tastic.

Orange is the new white. At least for me. So hard to get right, so so easy for it to go wrong. The only thing that works for me is multiple light coats. Red and Yellow I cna make work over primer, but orange seems to be its own beast entirely. Love the approach to Firebomb, but don't feel bad about the pint job being a pain.

Thanks pluv. For me it was a classic example of "paint panic", when the custom started to get away from me I'd rush to try to "fix" when it really needed a slower, more careful approach.
