No, these are all brushed. Tamiya Gold Leaf acrylic paint.

really well done! some of the parts are so much better in gold!

Thanks, I wasn't sure how the gold would look but I like the end product. It's not realistic in any way but it makes a good homage to the originals.

As a toy collector that rarely dabbles in 1:18th anymore i must say...the pictures made me smile. There is still "magic" in the ARAH style and the over the top gold uniforms and cartoon inspired head sculpts add to that magic.

Well done sir!

You and your demands! I do plan on doing a group shot soon. I still need to do one of my Sea Devils group as well...

Great bunch of customs! A golden cowboy, a golden indian? I thought that ninja movie from the '80's starring a golden ninja was cheesy....
Nice work repainting Doc's head, he looks way cooler now.
Clever use of the bandoliers on Turk. Sagat's scar is invisible.

Oh snap! Whe I first saw that group shot, I thought it was a picture of the original 80s toys. Terrific work.

hot damn. Nicely done. 10 year old me would have considered this a dream line.

I'm going to make sure Zombie Guide sees these too. He gave Eagle Force some ARAH love years ago also, but I'm not sure if he completed the set. He'll love these.

Agreed. The gold is so clean.

Thanks, I appreciate that. The paint (Tamiya Gold Leaf) isn't terribly easy to work with either. It's a great colour when you're done but it's finicky.
