A driver for the MOBAT. The colors are matched to Steeler's, gold and all.

The gold Hasbro used on Steeler was probably an attempt to indicate he's an officer, but I wanted the custom to have color uniformity with Steeler, so I used it.

Steeler - especially because of his uniform - was always my favorite figure as a kid. This is really inspiring, and I can't believe I never thought of it before.

Thanks, guys.

The head is a Grunt head with a sculpted wave of hair added. In addition to epoxy-filling/smoothing out the elbow rivets and thigh screw insets, I did the same to the back of the shoulder rivets. Makes for a cleaner, more fluid design. If the front of the shoulder rivets were set in just a little more I'd try to cover them, too.

I forgot to take a WIP.

I also cheated by painting around the ears and inside of them to provide some detail. The '82 figures didn't really have ears. They had potato wedges.

I'm sure I'm not the first to use the Clutch chest this way, but I was happy with how it turned out. Wasn't sure if simply leaving the alternate color areas on the chest unpainted would work, but it did. Although I swear my brain is "auto painting" them when I look at it.
