Cobra Wraith
Python Patrol Viper

The Python Patrol figures had a very interesting paint scheme, but tended to lack in detailed paint apps, other than the pattern. The Python Viper, for instance, even lacked a Cobra Sigil. So I added that to the figure, as well as painting a few other details. They're not big changes but they make the figure look more complete, less half-assed. When the Python Patrol Vipers made their first appearance in the Marvel comics (issue #88), they referred to their uniforms as “Wraith suits”, which is an absolutely awesome name, so in my world the Python Vipers are known as Cobra Wraiths.

All parts – Python Viper

Rifle – Viper (accessory pack version)
Backpack - Viper

Cobra Daemon
Python Patrol Tele-Viper

The Python Tele-Viper isn't too bad, though it does lack a Cobra symbol. So I added one to the back of the head, and painted a few other details. In my world the Python Tele-Vipers are called Daemons.

Backpack – Tele-Viper
Scanner – Dr. Mindbender v3

Cobra Ghost
Python Patrol Grenadier

I had a couple of third-party Python Patrol figures which I wanted to use to expand the roster of the Python Patrol, since I've been working on customizing all the PP figures. This one's pretty much an LBC. I swapped around the parts from a couple of custom-made Python Patrol trooper figures, and then just repainted the eyes and added a few details on waist and legs.

Head, arms, torso – Black Major Python Patrol Trooper
Waist, legs – Red Laser Python Soldier

Rifle – Recoil (reproduction)
Backpack – Airborne (reproduction)

Cobra Ghoul
Python Patrol Trooper

The Python Officer even lacked eyebrows. So I added those to the figure, as well as painting a few other details, and used the figure as a trooper rather than an officer again. There aren't that many possible details to add to this figure unfortunately, so I added a backpack as well. In my world the troopers are called Ghouls.

All parts – Python Officer

Rifle – Cobra Soldier (reproduction)
Backpack – Viper

Cobra Shadow
Python Patrol Crimson Guard

The Python Crimson Guard might be the worst offender, because the Python Patrol pattern only appears on a small part of the figure and the rest is pretty plain, not helped by the bright yellow torso. So I painted quite a lot more detail on this figure. In my world the Python Crimson Guards are called Shadows.

Rifle, backpack – Crimson Guard v2

Copperhead
Python Patrol Swamp Fighter

Python Copperhead lacked eyebrows and a Cobra Sigil, and his waist piece is just a hunk of yellow plastic despite the fact that there is nothing else yellow around it. So he's literally wearing yellow swim trunks over his uniform. That had to change obviously, and I added a Cobra sigil as well as painting some other details. They're not big changes but they make the figure look more complete, less half-assed.

Wild Weasel
Python Patrol Pilot

While working on this project, I realized that while the Python Patrol has a jet in its inventory, it has no pilot. So that led to this version of Wild Weasel, who like other Python Patrol figures is a repaint of an existing Cobra figure. So the Cobra Conquest now has an appropriate pilot, but it really shouldn't be called that since it's the Joe name for the vehicle. It needs a new name. Maybe the Cobra Downfall?

All parts – Wild Weasel

Pistol – Sgt. Bazooka v2

Good call on NOT using an Airborne head on Gatilho. Nice work.
